I was able to make it to Batman Forever. About 5 people in there and pretty sure 2 of them were having sex Anyway, great picture and the score was relentless and thunderous.

Still my fav of the 4

The live sex is the best part of that movie.

IF ANYONE DOES NOT HAVE RECEIVER WITTH ATMOS (AND DTS:X), YOU ARE MISSING OUT, IT IS GREAT! IF PERSON DISAPPEARS OFF SCREEN TO THE LEFT AND IS RUNNING ON ROOFS, LIKE IN TOM CRUISE MOVIE, YOU DONT SEE THE PERSON BUT YOU HEAR THEIR FOOTSEPS IN THE UPPER LEFT SPEAKER ON THE CEILING! TOO BAD ALL THE BLURAYS DONT HAVE ATMOS - AS ALL (well, majority-most of) THE 4K MOVIES HAVE ATMOS SOUND NOW. THE ONLY WAY TO WATCH A MOVIE NOW...IN ATMOS/DTS:X, AND IN 4K. BUT ALSO STILL LOVE (watching) 3D...at home.

Sounds like it, especially when he grapples and takes off.

4 film collection. Just looks like the 4 films in a case, which actually has much better artwork than the individual discs. I'll wait until it drops to $20 or so.

You really think a 4 movie 4K UHD collection is going to drop all the way to $20? Highly unlikely.

The lowest the Matrix collection went down to was $39.

Really torn on waiting for this. I know if I buy them in June for anything above $20 each I'm basically a sucker. But damn I can't wait to see these in 4K HDR.

It'll come down to what's cheaper. Buying Batman and Batman Returns individually or waiting for the box set. I don't know if I could stomach buying Batman Forever or Batman and Robin again.

I saw one review on Youtube that said Batman Returns had blown-out contrast.

All reviews I have seen say Batman Returns is near reference quality video. What I'm wondering is Batman got a sound effects update, did they get improved on Batman Returns too?

That first cover doesn't even look like Tim Burton's Gotham City.

Anyone find these discs in stores? I think I'm just going to get Batman and Batman Returns for the remastered blurays as I haven't updated to 4k. Having Batman Forever and Batman and Robin on bluray is enough for me not to buy them again.

The clarity is great. What's not so great is the color timing, which has been changed (on the 89 Batman as well) to a strong teal/green push.

I just bought the first movie, I'm watching the bluray and the transfer is gorgeous. I'll get Batman Returns for sure but I don't know yet about Batman Forever and Batman and Robin.

Batman Returns received a strong transfer as well.

I really hate the transfer and sound on the 1st film. I tried to have an open mind about this release but the teal grading and the sound effect remixes are jarring to me. I've seen this movie so many times throughout my life and the changes stick out like a sore thumb.

Teal? Jesus christ. Was this transfer approved by Tim Burton? My goodness there was never teal in Batman. WTF.

The only time I find the teal distracting is at the end with the parade. Joker's face almost looks blue instead of white. I do like the updated sound effects, they pack a punch on my home theater setup. The original is still available on the previous bluray. Also for a fun trick, trying watching Batman with the color turned off on your TV. It's like watching an Old Noir film.

Re: Batman (1989-1997) 4K- 6/4/19 and 9/17/19

I haven't watched "Batman" in a very long time, as you'll see. Somewhere in the house I have the old "flipper" DVD, with the fullscreen version on one side and the matted version on the other. There are two different versions of the scene where Vicky pretends to "make out" with The Joker (as a stalling tactic), -in one version she raises her head and spits out some lint, and on the other version she doesn't (at least that's my memory). So if my memory is correct, which version has survived all these years later.

Its the version where she picks out the lint.

Batman Forever has always been one of my guilty pleasures in life. I could watch it anytime. As for Batman and Robin, honestly I don't think I could ever watch that film again.
