You created a profile and uploaded it to their website?

Weird that the contributors are talking about it on the DVD Profiler forum then!

If your previous profile update on the app was prior to 6/26 then you would get all of those updates that were posted after your last update. But there were NO NEW profiles added to the site after 6/26. Until presumably today, I didn't check to see if they are able to contribute new profiles yet, or just have the ability to post comments on the site.

I was able to submit a new profile yesterday along with a few updates to other profiles.

Re: DVD Profiler?

Interesting.
Yeah, this one of the few software packages I bought. It seemed like a lot at the time but it's been worth it for me.
Looks like right now it's 14.95 for Unlimited. (This, I believe, is for the desktop program)
I only contributing one title - a legit, R1 (maybe R0) title I actually bought used at Blockbuster, but somehow wasn't in the database. I submitted a profile for it. Then a few months later, someone made a minor edit to my submission, correction a typo or something, and my contributor credit was erased and replaced by his. So I said screw it.
I don't use it as much anymore but even if I never use it again I've gotten my money's worth.
Just brought it up, 26 titles have been updated.

Re: DVD Profiler?

Wait, so no more new titles will be added going forward or updates to existing profiles? I bought the unlimited license too and now I’m gonna have an incomplete collection. I can’t transfer thousands of titles to another, probably less user friendly app on pc or phone. I can’t. I just can’t. What’s gonna happen?

It was back up on the 30th. (issues were for about 4 days)

They have a forum you can follow.

OldBoy can't even follow this thread that he's posting in. You expect him to look up something on another site?

Re: DVD Profiler?

Nope. It's back up.

Some, and I concur, that with the server being in Virginia, there was a power outage.

Re: DVD Profiler?

Site's been down for the last couple of days for me, haven't been able to view my online collection or visit the site, and when I bring up DVD Profiler, it has to go through the checking online stage before I can actually use it. I don't know how to get ahold of anyone to find out exactly what's going on, I wish I did...

Re: DVD Profiler?

Since the server is in Virginia, it has to do with the winter storm I'm pretty sure.

Re: DVD Profiler?

I keep thinking I need to come up with an alternative to DVD Profiler because I'm not sure how much longer it will last. The realization of how much time and work it will take to enter my full collection again seems enough to deter me from looking too hard, though.

Try My Movies app. There's a free version and a pay version that I use called My Movies Pro. I think it was $11. Uses a pretty quick scanner to enter movies. I've enjoyed it so far.

On the website description for that app, it does state this a feature, so it might be worth looking into. Thanks for the recommendation.

IMPORT your database from many other inventory tracker apps such as CLZ Movies, DVD Profiler, Sort It! Apps, iCollect and many others

Edit: Doh, it's Android only.. bummer.

Nice. I'll look into it. As it is, I need to do a full audit of my collection. Not sure what exactly happened, but somewhere along the way, my local collection on the DVD Profiler app went off, like way off, compared to the link to my collection. We're talking 500 titles! So, I replaced my local listing with the online one, but I know there are things that are no longer entered in - I just don't know what. *sigh*

I love this program/app. Would truly be lost without.
