Re: Blade Runner 2049 --> 1/16/18
I'm a little surprised that it does not appear there is a Target exclusive for this. Blade Runner 2049 seems like a perfect fit for one of their exclusive book releases ala Logan and Alien: Covenant.

Hmm, nifty looking, but pass.
Was kinda hoping for a special release with that whiskey from the movie. |
Re: Blade Runner 2049 --> 1/16/18
I think just the steelbook will hold me over. I do kinda regret some of the "extras" I've picked up over the years, they make our place a bit too cluttered.

Re: Blade Runner 2049 --> 1/16/18
This looks pretty cool. It's the only bundle I've seen that includes all versions.
Blade Runner 2049 (hmv Exclusive) 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Limited Edition Steelbook with Mondo artwork - Includes 4K, 3D Blu-ray, Blu-ray & Digital Download https://store.hmv.com/search-results...hmode=allwords https://images.store.hmv.com/app_/re...4056.jpg?w=640 |

Shame about the Mondo art. ^

Re: Blade Runner 2049 --> 1/16/18
Yeah, but you can't expect them to get everything right :)
In a perfect world it would be the same as the BB 4K steelbook |

I'm not a fan of the Mondo art either, but the package itself is tempting. I'm willing to pay a premium for a 3D - 4k bundle (I purchased Kong and Guardians 2). I wish there were more of those stateside.

I want that steelbook in this set, minus all the bullshit chachkies.
I'll settle for Best Buy's 4K exclusive artwork, though. |
Re: Blade Runner 2049 --> 1/16/18
If anyone was looking for the 3D version, it's a Best Buy exclusive.

Re: Blade Runner 2049 --> 1/16/18
you know, i held off on this 3D release for some strange reason. i guess someone said not shot natively so i decided against. if anyone watches in 3D, let me know how it looks. thanks.

Re: Blade Runner 2049 --> 1/16/18
$24.99 for the regular blu-ray/dvd combo is expensive during the first week of release.
|
Re: Blade Runner 2049 --> 1/16/18
^ I agree. I'm used to seeing $19.99 ($19.96 @ Walmart) for new releases, then jacked up to $24.99/$24.96 after a couple of weeks. They started doing this inflated pricing with the newer blockbuster releases, they probably think they can get more for Blade Runner because of its popularity and alot of people will probably pay it. I'd rather see lowered first-release pricing, they can jack it up to whatever they want to after that.

What popularity? It was one of the biggest financial bombs of the year (albeit a good one, but still...), evidenced by the relatively small number of copies stocked on store shelves. It's gonna be $9.99 soon enough. |
Re: Blade Runner 2049 --> 1/16/18
It is $19.99 digitally. With all extras. I went that route but curious about 3 D...

It's gonna be $9.99 soon enough. I used to buy 75% of my purchases every Tuesday at Best Buy, but now I'm finding myself just ordering from Amazon so I know I'll get them. What really pisses me off is that I preordered the 4k steelbook, and woke up to an out of stock email this morning. I'm keeping the order open because I know the stores will have more steelbooks shipped to them in a week or so. No use having the preorder option if they can't keep their own stock straight. |

The director says avoid the 3D version, which is why I picked up the 4K steelbook before it sold out

Whether it's really an exclusive or not, there seems to be a big supply chain shortage for the 3D edition. |

When I was at Best Buy last night picking up my steelbook copy, I saw the 3D copy and there is a sticker on it that says "Best Buy 3D exclusive." I'm pretty sure that's as big of a confirmation as you can get, at least here in the US. I was surprised as well, because there were several listings before yesterday and we never heard it was going to be an exclusive.
