We'll see. Right now, it seems like the TV side of things is being phased out. The new 4k TV I purchased doesn't do 3D.

If you already own the previous release, it sounds like there is really no need to purchase this, unless you own a 3D TV and really want to listen to J.J.'s commentary track.

The other new things sound mostly insignificant. I think I'll save my money for something I don't have.

Apparently this is a reference presentation. Which is interesting because I didn't think the IMAX presentation was anything extraordinary. But I'll still keep my pre-order.

It looks like this is gonna be 29.99 everywhere on Tuesday, does anyone expect it to be available for a better price than that anytime soon? Doesn't look like it's in the Black Friday ads, which doesn't surprise me.

I'm keeping my order from Amazon. It's a lot cheaper at $29.96.

There were tons of copies of the original release in the used stores just a few weeks afterwards. I'm expecting to see a bunch of these in January. They might be missing the 3D disc but I'm only after the commentary.

I still haven’t seen any kind of price drop on this set, still only interested for the JJ commentary. Will this finally be the Black Friday it gets discounted?

It’s $23.99 on Amazon right now. What price are you looking for?

Sub $20 I suppose, but I'd settle for a used copy at $15 or so.

So I had some Best Buy store credit to burn and decided to just bite the bullet on this.

Is there any reason to keep the first Bluray set? Did they bring over all the extras to the new one?

No reason to keep it, everything was brought over.

Thanks

Still gonna feel bittersweet letting go of the first Blu ray of the first new Star Wars movie of the new era.
