Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook

They don't do second runs. You're SOL like I am. I don't understand why Best Buy doesn't implement a "only 1 per houshold" rule with these releases. I remember a picture someone took of a jackass cleaning out a Best Buy with the Guardians of the Galaxy Steelbook release.

I'm sure a lot of that is going on with Deadpool. There's no fucking way this would sell out so quickly today if it was a 1 limit rule.

Keep an eye on the website. Sometimes the Steelbooks come back up for shipping on or nearer the release date.

Put a pre-order for in-store pickup. Here's hoping I get one!

Yeah I don't get that either. It's basically just welcoming people to buy up as many as they want to scalp by not having a limit.

Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook

Was it ever stated if they were going to do an unrated cut of this or is this the only release planned right now?

Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook

I don't remember them saying anything about an unrated or extended cut since it was planned to have an R rating from the beginning.

Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook

The Target ad for next week lists the 4K version for $24.99. Nice to see it's only $5 more than the regular version.

Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook

I'm really tempted to get the 4K version just "in case" I get a 4K TV and player in the next year or so.

Okay, most of the viral marketing I didn't really dig -- thought they were trying too hard. THAT was pretty funny though.

Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook

When I enter Best Buy on Tuesday I'll grab my pair...of Deadpool steelbooks. I am so stroked....err I mean stoked. When I get home I'm gonna slip it in my player and enjoy the climax!

Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook

I did a pre-order for 2 copies 2 months ago and I thought I would regret it since it was $29.99 back then and it would be more plentiful than the Hateful Eight Steelbook which never had the option of a pre-order.

Tim Ritter shot down talks of a Director's Cut floating around back in February.

"I don’t wanna be all Joss Whedon on you, but no there’s not [a director’s cut]… There are some deleted scenes that have some extra stuff, but I’m pretty happy with this cut. I like it."

Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook

I'm satisfied with this cut but if they do decide to release a different cut I'm definitely going to double dip.

Edit: Got it in the mail today after coming back from free comic book day!

Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook

I flipped the digital code sheet and I was like WTF?

I thought it was odd there wasn't a place for the DVD. It came in a sleeve.

Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook

Yeah, why didn't they use another hub. Was excited to get it a few days early though.

Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook

Is there another thread for the regular releases? What else do the other stores have?

And some kind of "exclusive packaging", though it looks pretty normal in the picture. Since the Best Buy steelbook isn't doing much for me, certainly not enough to burn any extra gas, I'll probably pick up the Target exclusive to check it out.

Target is claiming the red case is part of their packaging exclusive. Yes, really.

Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook

I'm not opposed to the steelbook but I'm not going to pay $5 more for it. The regular version will be just fine for me.

Target also has a cartwheel for 10% off. Says DVD & Blu Ray, but not sure about the 4K version.

It's funny, i'm a sucker for different colored blu-ray cases. But I'll just stick with my Amazon order.

BUT they're price is $22.99 for the regular version. You can price match BB but I was told that you can't add a Cartwheel coupon when you price match.
