"Brief graphic nudity?"

That usually means a dick or some balls. Wonder which it will be?

This ain't no Ralph Bakshi movie.

 You guys know it’s animated right? The rating is whatever to me. Something being R doesn’t automatically equate it to better. Personally to me that doesn’t look like one of the better DCAU films. Looks alright but I’m not too excited about it. Assault on Arkham seems better comparing the two so far.

Re: DC Animated Universe Films

Not trying to imply R means better. Just that the R ratings so far must have been some marketing ploy to get young people to think it would be worthy of the rating. But they remained barely worthy of PG13. But this one may actually be different.

I was at work and someone had Gotham By Gaslight playing on one of the monitors.

Spoiler:
The only thing it has in common with the original story is the title and plot. Everything else is different. It also has bits of the follow up story; can't remember the title at the moment. I actually liked it. It's an Elseworld version of an Elseworld story. I thought it was clever.

I guess they may be showing off Harley's goods?

If I were to guess I’d say a shadow covered view of Harley’s ass. Another worthy ‘R’ rating.

The Target ad for next week confirms that the steelbook will be $19.99 and the regular version is $14.99. I guess that's going to be the normal price for the steelbooks going forward. That's high enough for me to get off the steelbook train. Since our library has been getting these in on a regular basis (I put in a request for Gotham By Gaslight already), I'll just pick up the ones that I really like and hold off for sales on the others. It seems like Best Buy has a sale on them every few months for under $10.

I'll be ready for Tuesday and some brickseeking (058-37-2072) so to speak. I should have pre-ordered this sucker but was too preoccupied and didn't notice the announcement on Target's website. *fingers crossed this goes easy*

Be sure to let us know here if you have trouble locating one. I will probably have an extra, others might as well.

Very much noted. Appreciate that...this one is coming at a weird week (family personal matter) and I'll have to make my stores count. Can't go nilly willy like I can on some of these releases.

Re: DC Animated Universe Films

Is this the first DC animated release of this kind that doesn't include a figure? The best buy exclusive has the book and Target the steelbook but I haven't seen any store say that there's a figure included.

Any reviews yet for Gaslight? Extras?

Wow! Just saw the trailer for Gaslight. Thought I had seen it. Looks good. Doesn’t look R rated, but we’ll see. I love the aesthetic...

It looks like in store pickup is working at Target. Most of the stores in my area say they have 3 to 4 copies available for pickup.

Also appears to be available to ship again as well. There was a post earlier that seemed to indicate that wasn't true for awhile there. Seems like this one will be as easy to get as the past few titles. Maybe the days of Target DC steel books being hard to get are over. Take that re-sellers!

Thanks for the tip, I did store pickup at the store right next to my work. It says three in stock, hopefully they confirm it by lunchtime. *Fingers crossed*

If for some reason it gets messed up, we'll do shipping.

EDIT: I can hear them now..."What the hell is a steelbook...we'll just give him the regular edition dvd and see if he notices"

Do you have a Redcard to get free shipping Kedrix? If not I can see if I can pick up and extra when I go to my local store today. Have other things to pick up there today as well.

Another easy fix - Buy 2 copies, return one. Free shipping plus somebody at the store gets a cool surprise later.

Welp, it seems that these releases won't include the little toy anymore. I would have love the steampunk Batman figure for this movie.

I ordered my copy for shipping a long time ago. In fact it's arriving today. But I'm going to the store anyway to pick up a prescription.

Yeah, I have a redcard to get free shipping. Was tempted to do the two copies like Decker suggested, but *knock on wood*, they usually come out okay. I just hope it ships out. I expect the worst unfortunately when it comes to Target and steelbooks.

Actually, every time I get a Target item shipped, it comes in a box with packaging around it. No problems there at all. It's Best Buy's cardboard mailers where the problems usually occur :

Re: DC Animated Universe Films

I have received more than one disc from Target in the same kind of "cardboard shrinkwrap" package as Best Buy. Probably because they ship from the same place these days. But luckily nothing was damaged. I'll probably still pick up an extra of Gaslight in steel if they still have some just in case mine comes looking like Decker's picture.
