^I guess they changed it, or there was some misinformation about it floating around, because the article I read said the 17th, and even the Billboard article says at the end that they corrected the date from the 17th.

Walmart doing slips again? If so it would be a tough call between the steelbook and a rocket slip (if the US steelbook is similar to the overseas ones).

I'm so happy Best Buy is using this design. I think Zaavi had these Steelbooks up for pre-order and they sold out pretty quick.

According to this page (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/movies-p...at258300050048) they do. If they don't, I think its worth the couple extra bucks to ensure a copy of the steelbook.

Just reserved. Saw it twice in theaters, once with my wife and once more with my best friend. Was fantastic both times(my favorite movie of the year), and @ 20 for the 3D and Blu-Ray is easily worth it.

Thanks for the heads-up. Cancelled my $27.99 shipped order and bought this at $19.99 for in-store pick up instead. Burned $15 in RZ Certificates as well -- won't find a better time to use them than on a cheap limited-edition store-exclusive I want really, really badly.

None of the BB stores in my area have it available for in store pick up. Also, the 1 is the limit.

Ditto. I went in person to see if I can pre-order and they said they are having problems with their pre-order system. I'm in the L.A. area too but who knows if the issue is related to that. It's getting harder to shop at Best Buy these days.

Placed two orders, one for me and one for an Xmas gift, for pick-up at two different stores. Let's see how long it takes for them to cancel due to low supplies. :D

You can say that again. Attempting to order online from bestbuy.com is quite clunky and, at least in my experience, hit and miss.

My current first world problem: I really like that Steelbook but it won't match the rest of my Marvel collection in regular cases on my shelf. I'll probably just end up getting the regular version of GotG.

I don't care for the Steelbook, went ahead and put in a placeholder order at Amazon for the regular combo pack. I might cancel it and just go to Best Buy to use some reward certs though.
