Yes, and it's apparently similar to the dispute Amazon had with Warners earlier this year - you can't prebook any upcoming Disney Blu-ray releases right now on Amazon.

Amazon were the one-stop shop where you could get everything. I suppose the bigger they got, it was inevitable that they'd wind up knocking heads with some distributors.

Amazon is going to end up fucking itself in the ass if they keep this petulant bullshit up.

They think they're playing hardball with distributors, but they are also annoying and inconveniencing their customers. They would do well to remember that they aren't the only place where people can buy things.

I'm pissed about it too but, Amazon would have to pull a lot of shit for me to start buying from Best Buy or Target.

If it's between a $20 regular edition freely available on Amazon versus a $30 steelbook from Best Buy, I'll go with Amazon. But it if it's a nothing edition of nothing at Amazon and Best Buy has it, well I'm going to get it from Best Buy.

No, if you have a prebook in, don't worry about it - they'll honor it. Just don't cancel it - particularly if you were locked-in at a good price.

I've got to admit that I used to go out of my way to buy from Amazon becuase I thought they had great customer service (and still do actually) but this strong-arming they've been doing has really soured me to them...

I used to always buy from Amazon when they beat competitors by a few bucks (and there wasn't tax in CA), but these days i'll just go with wherever is cheapest.

They want to pay a lower wholesale price for Disney titles.

Have Disney ever consented to that with anyone?

The Target exclusive 3D version is down to $22.99, while the regular 3D version is $32.99. Might be a mistake, but worth trying if interested.

I hope that's the in-store price on release day. I'd pre-order, but the shipping and tax kill the desire. I don't have a RedCard and don't plan to, so I'll wait and see.

Wouldn't be the first time a retailer has included bonus content on the movie disc or default features disc. Seems a lot easier to print bonus discs, but there are examples where retailers have received totally different prints of the actual movie disc or default features disc.

Looks like the Target exclusive content might be a digital download.

That's what I was afraid of considering the Amazing Spider-Man 2 Target exclusive says Bonus Disc and not Bonus Content.

Well the Target exclusive of Noah was on a separate blu. Stupid part about that was that the extras on the movie disc is on the exclusive disc as well. So you get 3 featurettes twice.

In the case of Noah, the repeated extras on the bonus disc are longer, unedited versions of the featurettes on the movie disc. So it wasn't a total waste.

Actually I never understood why there was only a few minutes removed from the regular set. I think it was something like 10 minutes total.
