Seems more like an OCD collector mentality. The rationalization seems to be if studios charge the same price without it, they're getting less for their money. Or something.

These are the type of people that don't give a crap about the movie, it's just for it sitting in a protective bag for years and staring at it. So odd.

If I have a choice, I'll take the slipcover, and I won't throw it away. However, I won't seek it out, nor will I return an online order if I don't get it.

I'm the same way.

Ordered a steelie from Best Buy last Wednesday and it still hasn't shipped, but rest of my order did. Wondering if I might be out of luck on this one.

I pre-ordered the steelbook and received it last week with a huge dent in it. So apparently, Best Buy's online return policy only allows for refunds. I planned to order another copy and return the damaged one. Well now this version is not available for online orders. Ugh, so annoyed.

+1. It's not available for shipping from the website and wasn't available for pick-up at any stores remotely close to me. I'll probably just settle for the regular packaging.

Just got a response. I wish it was a $20 credit, all they did was give me a new code to redeem on their crap site which includes the movie plus the extra.
