Actually the Zombie films don't have matching disc art for the rest of the set either so whatever. I'll probably see if I can get a two disc black Blu-ray case or something and just leave the bad disc in the set too.

I was getting a little bit worried with so many others receiving their replacement discs, but I ended up receiving mine today. I always appreciate when a company makes good on a mistake.

Yeah, but those movies deserve to mismatched disc art!

Well, that worked out. After thinking my request hadn't been received, I resubmitted it. Then FedEx delivered it an hour later. Today I received a second one. So now I can replace the bad disc from the individual release too. For the record, it was the same artwork as the first wave of replacement discs.

I requested mine a few days after the program started and it came last Friday. It has the incorrect artwork but at this point I don't really care. Now Zombie's Halloween has a mismatched buddy.

I don't see why anyone would care about the artwork on the disc. The disc sits inside of a case that sits inside of another case. When you go to watch the movie, the disc sits inside the player. You see the art for the 5 seconds that you move the disc from case to player.

Don't question OCD collectors mentality. Some people obsess over slip covers which actually ADD an unnecessary hinderence to getting to the disc and more often than not is the exact same artwork as what's on the actual case.

Well I received another disc out of the blue. Never asked for it. But FedEx dropped it off this afternoon.

I just kept the original disc in its place and used a paper sleeve for the new disc and wedged it under the plastic brackets where they usually put a booklet or sheet of paper with a chapter listing. If it was the same artwork on the disc I might have just tossed the out of sync disc.

OCD.

It's the new "does it come with an insert?"

I honestly don't give a crap that the artwork on H4 from this new disc doesn't match the rest. Such a fucking stupid and petty thing to even ponder IMO.

OCD.
I did that too. Not necessarily because of the art but just in case some bigger flaw is discovered on the replacement disc or if some magical Easter egg is found on the original disc or something.

Mostly I just have a hard time throwing shit away.

Santa just delivered this to me. So, if the disc art for 4 is different than the other discs, i have the corrected disc, right?

Pretty good deal on the set but I still overall got a pretty decent deal on mine so I'm not too upset.

It didn't bother me a lot really but it would have been nice if all the discs matched. Like I said though earlier for the Zombie films the disc art doesn't match anyways.

Re: Halloween: The Complete Collection is coming to blu-ray

Watched the Producer's Cut of Part 6 last night. Still not a great Halloween movie, but it's much better than the original POS. I think they wrote a really whacked mythology on Michael for that movie.

I did appreciate the re-added scenes to add more continuity to Part 5. Donald Pleasance looked pretty awful in 6.

he died shortly after production wrapped, which means when they needed a new ending for reshoots, they couldn't use Dr Loomis for obvs reasos

True, but far less nasty and grimy than just about any character from the RZ Halloween movies. I feel like I need a shot of penicillin after watching those movies.

It's just a rash. It will go away in a few days.

Re: Halloween: The Complete Collection is coming to blu-ray

Is the copy of Rob Zombies Halloween 2 that is included in this set a different cut (theatrical?) then the original standalone release?
I ask because the original release case says Unrated Director's Cut or whatever and lists a running time of 119 minutes, while the one included in the box set is listed as 118 minutes and doesn't say anything regarding cut.

It's the unrated directors cut. The theatrical version was only 105 minutes. Also the back of the box does have the 'this film was originally released in a version rated R for...' message lots of unrated releases use today.

It would've been great and truly complete if the theatrical versions were included. But for some reason, they were not. But you can find those versions on a Canadian double feature release.

Re: Halloween: The Complete Collection is coming to blu-ray

I went ahead and ordered the Canadian double feature, thanks.
It is weird though, that the box set version shows a different run time than the standalone release since they are the same cut.
