I was hoping for a more "in-depth" look at Alexandra Daddario's role. Something that would cover all angles.

I'm a little surprised that there are only 2 commentary tracks. You would think that Pizzolatto being the solo writer of this entire series that he would have a lot to say. Plus, interesting that Fukunaga didn't participate in the commentaries.

Opportunity shot by not having Harrelson and McConaughey not doing any commentaries.

I'd be curious, a single director handling a whole miniseries like this must be fairly uncommon, especially an ambitious one for HBO like this. I'd be interested to hear what he has to say about the whole experience.

This will get even cheaper on release day... GOT has only been $29.99 in the past.

Not hugely surprising, I'm sure that especially for a TV show budget, that was a logistical nightmare.

i have a feeling that the picture will be so clear on blu, that when you see her clit in the frontal scene you can lick the screen and swear you taste roast beef.

Target will have the blu ray for 29.99 when released. So those that were afraid of the price need not to worry. Amazon may price match it too

Is HBO now officially dumping the Blu-ray/DVD combos now? I hope so, when I removed the DVDs from previous shows, it did not look right and bothered the crap out of my OCD.

I'd imagine that because of the necessary number of discs, combo packs for a TV show are more expensive than movies.

HBO would cram 10 episodes onto two double-sided DVDs, but yeah, it's still an expense.

So what kind of replay-ability does this have? Is it more of a purchase or a rental?

Highly re-watchable, in my opinion. I remember watching the first episode three times before Episode 2 premiered. Day one buy for me.

So I guess that

Spoiler:
because they are looking for lead for season 2 that means the two main leads don't make it past season 1

So should that be in spoilers at all? Because I have a few questions about that. I love McConaughey and was sad at the news.

I think it depends on what you find re-watchable.

It's a fantastic show with top-notch performances, but I don't know if I feel the need to see it again anytime soon (enough to own it anyway, especially with HBO GO).
