Is the remaster what the film originally looked like? I honestly thought the colors looked fine in the previous BD but if this is what it should look like well that's what I want.

I don't think Cundey supervised the 2007 version and I don't remember who supervised the DVD special editions.

Silly me not wanting packaging that will ruin the disc, making it unwatchable. You'd think I was interested in watching the movie over and over or something....strange. Oh, and it's unthinkable to want to see more detail and a more lifelike picture. I'm weird like that.

I haven't had time to watch the new Blu-ray, but I'm keeping this one and the old one, so whichever transfer is better will be the one I watch. However, I'm quite excited for the new commentary on this version.

I never troll. It's not my fault that your position is so shaky that you can't handle people with a different view....
When I said realistic, I meant it. I live in the midwest and have only see it that dark out when there was going to be a storm. But most of time, it's not that dark and downcast.

Halloween isn't a documentary. How close it looks to real life is irrelevant to the quality of the transfer. What matters is how closely the transfer reflects the artistic vision of the filmmakers.

Of course, and since Cundey was brought on board to supervise this release - it's a clean cut case of this being the final say on the matter. The fact that it also looks like fall as opposed to the summer it was shot in is just icing on the celluloid cake.
