I'm sure the 3D version is missing. Too bad they couldn't have added it in BD3D as a bonus.

They have it available for shipping now, so I just did that. Free shipping, no store pickup for me but at least it's something.

Can someone correct me if I'm wrong but this doesn't have everything that the bonus disc on the DVD box set had? I'm planning on keeping the 3D disc but just want to know about that other one.

It has all of the main things, but supposedly there's little easter eggs it's missing

That's what I had hoped as well. Hell, TrioViz would have been an acceptable alternative if they didn't want to go the FHD3D route.

Thanks for the heads up on that! I put in an order and used several reward certificates (one which was close to expiring) that I don't have to print out now.

Running a marathon last night and tonight, on #5 now. Picture quality is comparable to the first 3. The only negative I see so far is no Play All on the special features. Kinda annoying since some of them are under a minute.

Does this set include the remake by chance or is it just the original films? Not that I'm the biggest fan of the remake but just wondering since both are in the Warner/New Line catalog.

Just the original 7 movies. No Freddy vs. Jason, nor the 2010 remake.

Considering Freddy vs. Jason was Robert Englund's last hurrah as Freddy, I'm surprised it was not included.

Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street Collection > 10/2/12

That's sorta weak. I wouldn't necessarily expect Freddy vs. Jason to be in there, although it did feel more like a Freddy movie guest starring Jason than anything, but I sorta thought the remake might be. Oh well, I guess I'll just find a used copy for cheap sometime.

It looks like all my local stores have this in stock now. I'll probably go pick it up next week.

I have no problem with this being just the classic series, no FvJ or remake (which is a steaming mound of shit). What I would have liked to see was the pilot episode of Freddy's Nightmares, which is essentially a prequel to the entire series. It's pretty damn good, canon nitpicking aside.

Yeah, if you are going to include any Freddy's Nightmares episodes, that one is essential.

I had an extra 6 disc case, so I put in the FVJ blu-ray I already had. Now it feels complete.

What are the odds of this coming back in-stock for shipping online? I placed an order about a week ago, but a glitch on Best Buy's site somehow prevented the order from going through. Of course it hit my credit card though. Now that the pending charge from that "order" has dropped from my card, I wanted to grab a copy. And it's out of stock at my local store and not available for shipping. Fuck.

I'd say pretty good. It's just had a rocky start.

Alright, cool. I'm seeing quite a few big "OOP!!RARE!" listings on eBay and thought this wound up being some sort of limited thing.

There's only a few stores in my state, and the surround states, that don't have it available. They're pretty much all over the west coast.

Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street Collection > 10/2/12

I tried two stores in the Chicago suburbs. Both showed up online as having them in stock. One of them (Niles, IL) didn't have any out on the floor (despite there being a tag for it in the horror sale section) and there was nobody around to ask to check in the back and I had to get to work so I just left. If I weren't such a Freddy freak, I would have just said f- it and wait for the wide release. But I didn't want to wait until January for this.

So I just ordered for store pick up at another nearby Best Buy (which I ended up working right across the street from). When I went to pick up my order, there were none on the floor of that store either. They did have mine pulled luckily.

I'm wondering the same thing. Got the DVD set on CL today who was selling that and a bunch of TV shows for 50 bucks because she was moving and shipping her items. So now got the DVD and blu-ray box set. For those who have seen the special features of both sets, any differences or is the only difference the 3D in the DVD?

This set is no longer listed on Best Buy's site at all. At least not that I can find. Kind of odd.

At any rate, I wound up taking a drive and picking it up last night at the store closest to me. Probably start watching sometime this week.

My link leads to it now too. Must have been a glitch on the site this afternoon.

Yeah. It freaked me out and due to it, I called one of the last two Best Buy locations in my area that did have it available for in-store pickup the other day and had them hold the last copy for me this afternoon.

$39.99 isn't bad for seven films and a bonus disc.

Pretty good considering the site has it listed for $44.99. A nice little extra savings there.
