anyone have any specs for the movie discs? like if they have DTS or any extras themselves...

Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street Collection > 10/2/12
All of the special features on the sequel discs and the fifth disc (with the exception of the Fear Himself feature and Freddy's Nightmare episodes) come from the encyclopedia disc.
DVDCompare has a listing of the Holland version of the boxset, which should be the same contents as the US release. |

just got this set from a BB about 50 miles away. well worth the trip. didn't expect to see so many extras. very nice set!

Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street Collection > 10/2/12
I wouldn't mind grabbing this but I think I'm more at the $30 price point than $45 for it.

Didn't the original film have audio sync issues?

I highly doubt it will. Never Sleep Again was independently produced and released and does not always show everyone in Hollywood in a positive light.

It does not. There's a similar-named documentary on the first disc, but it is not the same in any goddamn aspect as the awesome, four-hour documentary.

This is available at my closest store, but I really don't feel like driving all the way up there at the moment. Hopefully it is available for shipping soon.

As of now, the only way to get the four-hour documentary on Blu-ray is as an import from Germany... however, the documentary itself is 50fps and all of the bonus material is in standard definition PAL. :(

Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street Collection > 10/2/12
I am working right across the street from a Best Buy. I ordered it for In Store pick up so I can stop by on my way home.

Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street Collection > 10/2/12
Isn't it sad how the DVD set was kind of a big deal when it came out, yet this Blu-ray set just kind of spewed onto the radar last minute with zero promotion and some stores haven't even stocked?
Hell, I pre-ordered my DVD set months before it was released. |
Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street Collection > 10/2/12
That dvd set was one of the first boxsets I purchased back in the day. I even got it signed by Robert Englund at a convention about 5-6 years ago.

Is the packaging the same as the UK set?
I don't know the specs of the DVD box set, but this blu-ray set has a hellava lot of special features so I am assuming most if not all was ported over. And perhaps the fifth disc is the new stuff? I never had the DVD set and only 2/3 on blu so I am quite pleased by this set. |

Of course, the one near me now has it in stock. But still worth the trip for this and the very last copy of 12 Monkeys in the $7.99 bin that the guy happened to find in two minutes. Case torn to shreds but I put it in my German SteelBook, so it's all good as they say.

Re: A Nightmare on Elm Street Collection > 10/2/12
Disc 1 and 2 are the same as the previously released individual discs. Discs 1,2,3,4 are the same as the UK set, down to the dubs and subs.
scroll down to see all the extras included |
