Blade/Blade Trinity - June 19th
Um, where is Blade II??
Blade & Blade: Trinity Announced for Blu-ray
New Line and Warner Home Entertainment have announced the Blu-ray releases of Blade and Blade: Trinity for this summer. Wesley Snipes (Demolition Man) stars in the action series as the title character, a half-human/half-vampire avenger who spends his nights trying to eradicate vampires from the planet.
The first Blade pits him and his mentor, Whistler (Kris Kristofferson, Planet of the Apes), against Deacon Frost (Stephen Dorff, Somewhere), a rogue vampire hellbent on destroying the tenuous peace between humans and vampires. Blade's hunt for Frost also allies him with a young doctor (N'Bushe Wright, Dead Presidents) who may be able to genetically cure vampirism.
Blade: Trinity is the third film in the franchise, and it finds Blade battling none other than the reincarnated Dracula (Dominic Purcell, Straw Dogs). After Whistler suffers a devastating setback, Blade is forced to partner with Whistler's daughter Abigail (Jessica Biel, The A-Team) and Hannibal King (Ryan Reynolds, Adventureland), a former vampire now looking for revenge against his bloodthirsty enslavers.
New Line has not yet detailed the technical and supplementary specifications for these two Blu-rays, nor has the studio indicated if it will bring the second Blade picture - Guillermo del Toro's Blade II - to the HD format. Both Blade and Blade: Trinity will come with Movie Money for a still-underdetermined theatrical film.
Blade and Blade: Trinity are expected to street on June 19th.

Maybe del Toro wants to do something cool with it but doesn't have the time to commit right now (since he's producing every movie ever).

Rather spend the extra time and see a complete unrated three disc set. No II...unreal.

Geez...it better be unrated and 2 better be along for the ride once it is all said and done or else I'll just keep my dvds. That's just plain lazy.

I remember not liking Blade II when I saw it in theaters (it didn't help seeing Donnie Yen get the shaft in another American feature). I'm gonna have to revisit it to see if my opinion improves.

Only Blade and Blade Trinity show DKR movie cash, Blade 2 does not but it may very well come with it anyway.
Note these are preorders of course. Available 6/19 for both of these Blade II is slated 7/10

Blade II is far and away my favorite but I have a soft spot for Trinity. The first one I haven't seen in years. I typically just watch the last two.

So I presume this is a Wal-Mart Exclusive? Also, looking at those links, they're already out. Anyone see them in the store?

Looking forward to getting the first one on Blu. The second one is decent, nothing special, though I may pick it up eventually. Steering clear of Trinity.
