For anyone that's interested you can pre-order the Muppets at Best Buy and get a steelbook/ironpack.
On the back it shows the three disc combo pack, but on the front it says you can get the two disc as well.

The right term is "Metal Box".

Any pics of this "metal box"? Nevermind as I found a listing with the pic.

Re: The Muppets 3/20/12

Sorry if someone told me that the new Muppets movie came in a "metal box" I wouldn't know what the hell they were talking about. Most people who collect DVDs know what a steelbook is. I figured that was good enough.

Was good enough for me.

Btw when one preorders at BB and gets a steel book, you can still buy it elsewhere and get the $7.50 refunded and keep the steel book.

Any film with Amy Adams deserves its own thread.

Metal box? First time I've ever heard that.

I ordered when Amazon had the $5 promo ($26 for the 3 disc + soundtrack). Hopefully that will drop a few more bucks, and I'll just pick up the "metal box" separately.

Wow!! Sounds like you've been living underneath a rock. LOL!!

Best Buy/Future Shop has at least three exclusives titles that use Viva Metal Boxes. And other countries are starting to use them as well.

Re: The Muppets 3/20/12

I got an email from Best Buy that mentioned it, and even they called it a steelbox. Anyway, I picked one up at my BB yesterday, I thought I heard these were rather scarce, but they had like 20 out.

We've been through this shit before. It all depends on the manufacturer. Steel Tin, SteelBook, MetalPak, Metal Box, IronPack...no use bitching about what the "correct" term is, we all know what it means.

Re: The Muppets 3/20/12

I haven't seen this yet but I want to know one thing about the ending first:

Spoiler:
Do the Muppets realize the theater as a space isn't nearly as important as having each other as a family? Or do they just focus on getting the space back and when they do, having the space is what makes them happy?

I'm dreading it's the latter which would be terrible because the former is what the Muppets are all about!

Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed. No need to get all pissy. I was just stating the right term.

Wasn't pissy. Just that you're the one who got all indignant that someone didn't use the exact term. All I'm saying is it's the same thing... a non-plastic case. Different manufacturers use different words. No need to correct someone. It's pretty nit-picky.

I wasn't "nit-picky" whatsoever. All I was doing was a correction. I know a lot of members here and other forums get bent out of shape when someone uses the wrong term or name for a steel packaging. Especially the hardcore Steelbook collectors. Sorry if you took my post the wrong way. Did not mean to cause any harm.

Anyhoo, I got mine today. WooHoo!!

Weird, the metal box looks just like a steelcase.
