Zardoz has been newly-remastered in 4K and should look really slick.

Just posted a review of First Men in the Moon, if anyone's been waiting. :) The short answer: it's a perfect presentation, and you desperately need it.

I watched it a couple days ago. I couldn't agree more. IMO it's one of Twilight Times best releases.

For those interested, The Bounty is a big letdown, at least for me. The PQ is pretty much all over the place, with daytime scenes looking fairly good, but the dark/nighttime scenes really suffer, looking washed out. And sadly, the isolated score is DTS-HD 2.0, and its a weak sounding affair at that. The only plus to that is the score completes about a minute after the closing credits end, something every previous release has cut off up till now. Still, this offering is a real disappointment.

I have watched the disc and my review should be published soon. My rating for video is 1.5 stars. In my opinion, the cut-off limit for acceptable generosity for this transfer would be a maximum of 2 stars. Anyone who would rate it higher than that should not be reviewing Blu-rays.

Birthday sale ends at 4 pm Eastern today, and they said on the Facebook that there are fewer than 25 copies of Picnic left. Fortunately that was part of my order. :)

Screen caps available from the recent Journey to the Center of the Earth disc. I wonder how sales have been going? I think 5000 units may have been a little too much.

Why would you ever think a Limited edition run could be too much?
Unless you're buying them for speculation.

Don't know if this has been asked previously but are Screen Archives and Twilight Time the same Company or owned by the same Company? Because otherwise I don't get the exclusive distributon rights. SA isn't exactly the fastest shipper I've seen. TT could do better in terms of a better shipping partner.

Looks like Bell, Book and Candle is gone too.

What the heck is with these guys? It takes them forever to ship things out. Almost a week now. Can't blame the weather THIS time SA.

That is just how they roll. They pack things better than Amazon, so I can't complain.

Just wait until they have their 5th anniversary sale next March. Then it'll be $20.

Any thoughts on House of Bamboo? I've really enjoyed the other Fuller films I've seen(Shock Corridor, The Naked Kiss, Steel Helmet, Pickup on South Street, and I Shot Jesse James). Would I like this one too?

It's a pretty good film noir set in Japan. I'd say that if you liked Fuller's other films, you'll probably enjoy this one as well. It has a lot of his fine touches in it. It should also look stunning in HD.

Not a bad film but not one of my favorites from Fuller. The 2.55:1 color CinemScope and 4 track stereo should be nice on Blu Ray.

Just hope they don't use the same cover as the DVD...they all look stoned:

^Agreed. I hated that DVD cover.

I love the movie but I just don't know if I love it $35 enough. This would be a instant 10 buck pick-up for me but $35 makes me wait to catch it streaming or on HBO if I want to see it.

Shucks... No horror or sci-fi on the August list. The only title I'm moderately intererested in is House of Bamboo. Never seen the picture, but I've loved all the other Fuller films which I've watched.

Also, my preorder of shit that came out last week still hasn't shipped - I understand if things can't ship immediately, but it's been more than a week now - what gives?
