Got Rapture and Swamp Water today. Nice to come home to a Screen Archives envelope in the mail and an amazon package with To Catch a Thief behind the storm door.

The Grapes of Wrath & Zorba the Greek are both up for pre order. Release date is April 3rd. They are both priced at $29.95.

Just to clarify, these are not Twilight Time releases and are not limited pressings. They do, however, carry a TT-like price tag. Hopefully they will go into general release later. If not, I may jump on The Grapes of Wrath eventually.

Much thanks for clarifying this!

Thanks, already placed my pre-order for Grapes before reading this.

Do you know if Grapes is at least exclusive to SA for that date? If not, I hope I can cancel if Amazon puts it up at a lesser price.

I got the info from the pre-90s catalog thread at the HTF. It says there that these are Screen Archives exclusives for an "undisclosed time period." So I doubt they'll be going for less via the major outlets soon. At least they shouldn't be limited quantities so those who are questioning the price tag can wait and see if a wide release is forthcoming.

Thanks. Damn, April 3rd is just around the corner, I am psyched!

I would rather have the exclusive given to anybody but them. Many other places at least give a deal on shipping.

From what I'm seeing elsewhere, they only have them exclusively for a couple of months. I can wait a couple of months to be able to get these at a reasonable price. I agree with your sentiments though. The new French Connection BD is exclusive to Best Buy but I was able to get it at a reasonable 14.99.

Looks like early June for Grapes and Zorba to go into wider release.

I'm guessing that will be everyone's approach - I can't see TT selling too many of these.

You would be guessing wrong. :D

Money is no object for some films, and I won't be waiting for Grapes Of Wrath.

I'm going to wait until a second title that I'm interested in becomes available, so I can save a few bucks on shipping. Now that I know that none of these will be selling out for months, if ever, I can afford to wait a little while.

Noirfan isn't interested in The Big Heat?

I am, but I can't justify too many $35 upgrades, particularly when they have no extras.

Well, it's certainly an improvement on the DVD art:

I believe it is only one use and you have to have had a previous order with them. Not sure when it expires though.
