Isn't To Catch A Thief a Paramount title?

The Man Who Knew Too Much and Frenzy seem rather conspicuous by their absence. Torn Curtain and Topaz as well, but I can't say I'm too fussed over those.

Hopefully the 4k fixes the issues the BDs had. Some of those later films were pretty subpar. Marnie I'm looking at you.

I know the feeling! Topaz in particular feels like punishment, and I couldn't force myself to rewatch it on Blu-ray.

The European retail listings I'd seen mentioned Saboteur, Shadow of a Doubt, and Rope, which makes sense; chronologically, they're the first 3 Hitchcocks that Universal controls. Someone on the other forum mentioned that there are two others in the works -- The Trouble with Harry and The Man Who Knew Too Much -- which would also chronologically be next up.

There are 10 as-yet-unreleased Hitchcocks that Universal controls, so if they're going for a complete run, it'll be interesting to see how they divide it up. 5 and 5 is nice and clean (with a chronological final set featuring Marnie, Torn Curtain, Topaz, Frenzy, and Family Plot). Maybe some mix of 3-3-4? Maybe they'll ditch the chronological angle to mix in some more marketable titles?

Forgot about Rope. Hopefully it and Man Who Knew Too Much and Trouble With Harry get new restorations from the 3 strip negatives (if they exist). Nothing makes me happier than Technicolor done well.

*Edit* Silly me, only Rope is 3 strip. The other two are VistaVision. All three should look amazing though if done correctly.

The Man Who Knew Too Much and The Trouble with Harry should look fantastic if done well, thanks to being shot in VistaVision. Those were "color by Technicolor" rather than 3-strip Technicolor, though. (Rope and Under Capricorn were Hitch's only 3-strip Technicolor films.)

I'd love to see Topaz get a new transfer. One of my favorite Hitchcocks.

I’d likely get all of them, but Saboteur is one of my faves.

I'm chopping at the bit to snag both Hitchcock 4k sets but holding off for two reasons:
1) Maaaaan, I hate that packing for how the discs are held (not so much the artwork)
2) Given Universals re-re-releases, you gotta think that after Vol. 3 hits there were will be a big box set of all of them

I did find the discs much easier to get out in Vol. 2, for what it’s worth. If you don’t mind importing, I think I read that some of the European releases actually have hubs.

Hopefully the UHD of North by Northwest is next year. The new restoration is premiering at TCM Fest in April:

That North By Northwest has that placeholder release date of "12/31/24, so who know when we will actually get it here.

We got Rio Bravo last year, North By Northwest is imminent, and the Searchers new restoration just debuted at the TCM festival. I thought I heard the Wild Bunch was being worked on, but now I can't find anything.

All the knickknacks are cool in the prior post for this, but I think I prefer the one simple Steelbook. I do prefer the cover art for the knickknack edition over the above though.
