Morricone scored hundreds of movies and a lot of them were terrible.

anyone who loves the 3D, Vudu has Boss Baby 2: Family Business (3D) for $13.99. i really enjoyed the first in 3D and wanted to keep the 3D alive. i'm not sure if this had a US release in 3D Blu or not. don't think so or i would have gotten. gonna do a double header i think.

If you don't have a region free player, you could be hopeless.

Boss Baby 2: Family Business was released on 3D Blu-ray in a number of countries, including Korea and Hong Kong, which are region A.

Random Space Media is releasing it as well on June 15, region free, and you can pre-order it from them directly:
https://randomspacemedia.com/product...lu-ray-blu-ray

However, based on their previous releases, Amazon US should have it available shortly after release.

^ I think $13.99 is a good deal then. if you want the extras the 2D is only $9.99. so either way, better deal with Vudu than to get physical disc.

I recently decided to splurge on the Japan exclusive Marvel 3D titles. All the titles look fine. Not the most aggressive 3D, but not the worst. One slight inconvenience is that there are quite a few sections in these that aren't in English. Maybe not a big deal if you've seen a few times: otherwise, you'd need to turn on and off subtitles as needed. Not a deal breaker for me, but it's something that some people might not think about when considering a purchase so just thought I'd mention it.

Not Blu-ray news, but hopefully they’ll consider one down the road:

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Another Japan exclusive? Looks like it. SIGH

http://www.amazon.co.jp/Doctor-Stran.../dp/B0B34FGS3K

Saw it in 3D in the Theater. It was pretty good. I don't think quite as good as the original 3D.
I'll get this eventually, but will probably wait for Thor to combine some shipping.

I'm glad to hear Disney is still putting out 3D Blu-rays somewhere in the world, but I'll be skipping this one. I rarely see movies in the theater in 3D because I don't want to pay the surcharge, but I paid it for this one because the 3D was hyped so much before it opened. I'm sorry I did because the 3D effects were almost nonexistent. I saw some depth in only a few shots, and there were zero pop-out moments. The movie itself felt like season 2 of Wandavision, which I didn't enjoy, so this one's easy to pass on.

It's in most places in the world, just not the US.

Likewise saw this in the theatre and solid depth effects throughout – not the best I've ever seen, but well done. Clearly 3D experiences these days (as ever, probably) depend on the theater I guess. Agree on the lack of pop-outs, but I really don't know why, after 15+ years (or so?) of conversions, people still expect pop-outs. They're practically non-existent on the vast majority of 3D titles unless they were filmed using 3D rigs (which almost no one does anymore, even Marvel). Pop-outs in conversions have always paled to pop-outs in natively-shot material. I can't say DS2 is top-tier Marvel, and it doesn't seem to set up many intriguing stakes for whatever's in the pipeline, but I'll definitely be adding the 3D blu to the collection.

Not certain what this means. Pretty sure Japan has the only 3D blu-ray for this title?

i think he's talking about 3D Blus in general being in many countries except the US. not just the latest DS.

Re: The Official "3D" Blu ray Thread. Now with Smell-O-Vision.

I think the lack of pop-out effects also has to do with many directors' reluctance to include those kinds of shots because they feel they're gimmicky. However, I think it's what your casual moviegoer thinks of and expects when they hear a movie is in 3D. I know when when my friends and family (none of whom have a 3D TV or projector) come over and watch a 3D scene on my laser projector they're not impressed at all with depth behind the screen. To them, the effect is backward because they want to see pop-out. Sadly, though, most modern 3D films just don't have it.

For this particular title. Plenty of other countries have exclusives and whatnot for 3D. Even concerts. No, not always English friendly, but they're not being released targeting English speaking audience. Checkout some other forums and see what there is. It's not dying by any means, but it's hard to get a 3D TV anywhere these days. I'm guessing they'll start to slowly start coming back beginning next year or 2024 due to the Avatar movies, which sparked a resurgence last time they were around.

Re: The Official "3D" Blu ray Thread. Now with Smell-O-Vision.

^ that was 3D in infancy. i don't think more Avatar will do much this time around. especially not 4K/3D tv's. hope i'm wrong, but hope seems diminished, at least in the US.

Re: The Official "3D" Blu ray Thread. Now with Smell-O-Vision.

3D infancy? Movies since the 1920's? Or do you mean TV? It's the first modern 3D TV, yes. But even before there were still the old blue/red glasses that can with DVD before that. It's been around a while, it'll come again - even in the US.

3D TV's are now extinct and will continue to be so even when the new Avatar's come out.
