That’s still a phenomenal price. I’m sure a few of us paid a lot more than that.

Unfortunately, that's a movie that was photographed so dim and drab, the 3D version is barely visible at all through the glasses.

If it hasn't shipped yet, you may want to consider cancelling and getting this 3D Blu-ray of Solo for only $16.99 instead:
Amazon Amazon

I tried to only list the Japan exclusive 3D titles, for a good price. Some MovieNex titles, like Solo, Rogue One, and Pirates of the Caribbean were also released in other countries in 3D, typically cheaper.

The Japan release may still be desirable because it's the same region as the US, so no multi-region player needed (although most 3D Blu-ray titles are all-region), or maybe you want the 4K/UHD version in the same package, but for $60, Solo is a bit pricey for a non-exclusive release.

Thanks Jay. That would have been great/better, but the Japanese one is shipping soon and i tried to cancel, but i have to wait to see if they can cancel, but thanks sincerely.

You can always return it if it ships, although you may have to pay return shipping if there's not a dropoff place nearby.

Just as a general notice/reminder, there's always the Hamilton Book catalog to find some good deals on select 3D Blu-rays, even some imports.

^ it did ship. I may return, not sure. But I certainly used that Hamilton Books link. Those 3D prices are insane. I bought 4. The Darkest Hour, The Boxtrolls, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Doctor Who. Not all great movies, but I looked them up and pretty good 3D so I’m satisfied. Thanks again Jay.

Hamilton has also gotten a number of those Disney 3D UK editions over the years, the same line as the Solo you posted. I don’t recall Solo being in their listings, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see it turn up. There’s at least a couple in that link you provided. I believe that UK series is limited to the titles released so far and won’t be expanded, and they’re still pretty plentiful and very affordable even via Amazon. Every time the new Hamilton listings are posted here with ‘3D’ boldfaced I immediately scan through to see if there’s anything I need, and then I realize there’s really nothing I need at this point, other than whatever oldies are coming down the line.

You know what? That was a good idea getting Solo for $17 rather than the ridiculous $60. I’ll just return it, no biggie. I have a convenient UPS drop off so it’ll be easy.

Re: The Official "3D" Blu ray Thread. Now with Smell-O-Vision.

Turbine in Germany is putting out 9 3D titles soon, 6 are new:

Bumblebee
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts
Scream VI
Migration
Mission Impossible: Fallout
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem

And reissues of:

Sing 2 (with the corrected shot)
Friday the 13th Part 3
Dolittle

In for the 6 new ones, still need to watch the Random Space disc of Sing 2 and see how bad the error in that was. (I got the German Spider-Verse disc and found the German text in that annoying, so got the Random Space disc of that when it came out.)

Here's a link to their site, with a listing of their current 3D Blu-ray catalog:
https://turbine-shop.de/en/CATALOGUE...49ac23b47ef735

The announcement, such as it was, was on their Facebook account:

Note the text is only "3D 24/25," which means the 3D titles they're releasing in 2024 and 2025, and people deduced the titles from the partial picture of the movie poster for each.

Is there a 3D version of Despicable Me 3 out there. I could have sworn I saw somewhere. Thought was in my collection. I know I have first 2 in 3D and part 4, but no way to get third movie in 3D?

I got it from the UK, I had the US release preordered from Target first but that was cancelled, which was despicable.

You can get the UK release on Amazon.co.uk for £10 shipped from third-party seller Chalkys UK. You can also get it on eBay for about $16. Search for UPC 5053083125776. Also, on Chalkys website here for $10 (don't know how much shipping is):
https://chalkys.com/products/despicable-me-3-3d-blu-ray

Both discs in the set are confirmed region-free.

I bought this from Chalky’s back in the day, albeit via Amazon Canada, with the standard shipping rate applicable. I’ve bought items from them via the U.S. Amazon site in the past, but out of curiosity after seeing this post, I tried to find this title there and had no luck, but it’s
still available still available
on the Canadian site. It seems odd that they’d cut out such lucrative market.

The Japanese editions always release later than the regular U.S. editions, and none are on Amazon Japan yet, so I remain optimistic.

The most recent Pixar films, Luca, Turning Red, Elemental, haven't gotten a 3D Blu-ray release anywhere, even Japan. Only the Marvel films are still getting 3D Blu-ray discs in Japan.
