Whatever happened to the six hour cut of the film? Would love to see both cuts get released

I thought an IMAX version of the 'Birth of the Universe' (plus additional footage) was planned at one point ... guess that ain't happening.

He likes it, perhaps a little too much.

The Best Buy in Culver City flubbed up and put The Tree of Life out a week early. As a heads-up, for the people who want to own it several days in advance.

Good...may have to order this for pickup next week, and will probably throw in a copy of Forbidden Planet for $7.99.

Thanks.

Planet is down to 7.99 ?! - oh I have to purchase that too. (and yes according to today's Best Buy flyer in today's newspaper - it's 22.99 - surprised that Amazon hasn't price matched it yet, I need to buy this with cash anyway, since my credit card is taking a wallop this month)

Holy crap. I was needing to go down to Best Buy today anyway. That gives me more of an incentive...

Heh, he really does like it. I do too. It's a very moving film, although perhaps not for everyone. The video and audio are reference quality.

Geez, I was balking at the $22.99 price but now I am compelled to buy it today.

Watched this last night. Without a doubt one of the most stunning transfers I've seen on blu-ray. "Reference quality" does not due this disc justice. "Exploring The Tree of Life" was really great and informative as well.

This played in exactly one theater (the worst one for sound) for less than a week here in Lexington... I almost drove 70 miles to catch it. But, in the end, I waited. I rarely buy day and date (overpriced) unless I have store credit but I picked it up yesterday. Next to last copy. Whew!

It's Malick... $23+ tax is still less than I would have spent to drive to Louisville + tickets, my time, etc... and I get to watch it at home. Going to screen it here in the next few days. Can't wait!
