Thor Blu-ray 3D, 2D and DVD, September 13.

Paramount and Marvel today revealed via IGN that the Thor Blu-ray 3D, 2D and DVD release date is September 13. They also shared the cover art for all versions and a snapshot of the bonus features.

Thor will mark Paramount's first retail release of a Blu-ray 3D title after roughly a year of dishing out hardware-exclusive hits like How to Train Your Dragon and the Shrek films. The Blu-ray 3D version of Thor will also include the Blu-ray 2D, DVD and digital copies, as well as unique cover artwork.

Each version of Thor on Blu-ray will include around 80 minutes of bonus features. They will include, but are not limited to, a feature that delves deep into the Marvel Universe, The Avengers sneak peek, a featurette on director Kenneth Branagh and more.

Thor stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Kat Dennings, Anthony Hopkins, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgard, Clark Gregg and Idris Elba.

Man, I can't wait for this one. Commercials made this movie look terrible, but this may be my favorite super-hero movie yet. Really an outstanding flick.

Outstanding I wouldn't call it. But those Asgard scenes or any godly moment in the film was awesome. Earth...was pretty average.

I'll get this...only around 80 mins of features? Noooooo. Would've loved more considering IM had great features.

Hey Paramount, is it too much to ask for just a one-disc BD version please? Thanks!

Really enjoyed this one. Day One purchase. I hope there are some coupons or a solid release week price.

So why is the 3D Version "Limited", and why is the MSRP $54.99? Wow Paramount.

Do they post pictures like that just to show you the cover art or will there be no slipcover for the Thor releases? I'm not anal about slips, although I prefer them, but I just expected this movie to come with a slip and I'm noticing more and more pictures at Amazon where you used to be able to tell there was going to be a slip and now a lot of times, even if there is one, you can't tell ahead of time.

The MSRP might be that but if you look on Amazon, it's the same price as POTC4 3D...

Loved the movie, but what a lackluster-sounding extras package. I'll buy it but I would have preferred 2 documentarys,1 on the comic book history of Thor and a 2nd Making of doc.

Paramount doesn't always provide a slipcover, but I'm betting the 3D combo pack gets a slip but the standard version won't.

I really like the cover for the standard combo pack, except for the floating heads.

I see $49.99 as the list price for Pirates 4 3D. I think Paramount has set a new record at $54.99. That's insane. However, with this being a mass market title, I'm sure it'll be heavily discounted on release week.

Even the standard combo pack has a list price of $44.99.

Pretty sure that Paramount's mock-ups for "True Grit" and "Iron Man 2" did NOT show slipcovers, yet they both still came with them. So there's hope for "Thor."

Yeah, I saw that, just noting the actual price was in line with POTC4.

Didn't catch this one in theaters but looking forward to a (hopefully) 7.1 experience on the home theater.

Best Buy will probably put the "limited" 3D version on sale day one so I may get it by default.

Looks like Best Buy will have an exclusive steelbook + comic. I'll probably get that.

Rad. I haven't bought a steelbook in ages.
