I'm in for this when it's around the $35-40ish price range. The original is classic and 3 is decent. The only one I really didn't care for was The Lost World.

You know I had no problem buying the BTTF trilogy. No problem with The Godfather Trilogy. But this... man, I don't think I can stomach buying both sequels. Seeing as how I never watched them on DVD. I'll wait for the single release.

Eventually, they may be available to purchase separately at a later date. Universal Pictures want to make as much money as they possibly can by releasing the boxset first, before the individual blu-rays, because they know, the sequels will not sell very well.

Re: Jurassic Park: Ultimate Trilogy - 10/25/11
It's funny. I had no problem getting the Batman, Superman, and Alien box sets, even though they all include films I don't like (unlike others in this thread, I love all three BTTF films, even though the first one is by far the best one).
Yet with this box set, I have no interest. Perhaps it's because I only like one of the films (the first one; I absolutely hate the second one, and while 3 was an improvement, it still didn't capture my interest) that makes it less than appealing to me. I'd love to get Jurassic Park on Blu-Ray, but as much as I don't want to be "that guy" along with Mr. Clothesoff, I'll just wait for an individual release.

Hmm.... I'm buying this release for sure! I love Jurassic Park. It's one of my favorite films of all time. While the sequels are definitely inferior (The Lost World: Jurassic Park might even be my least favorite Spielberg film) it's still a solid ***/***** for me (at the least: I haven't seen it in years) and I enjoy revisiting it from time to time. The third one would get a **1/2 out of *****. I'd imagine that rating would stay about the same, yet both sequels still have some merits for me.

I'm in for the T-Rex edition - I love all 3 JP flicks, flaws and all. Can't wait to watch them on blu-ray, going to be awesome.

Add me to the group that won't be buying a box set with only one good movie in it. Bit damn if that LE isn't tempting...

Will pick this up some time next year or when I can get it in the $20-25 range, on a bit of a budget in regards to films I already own so no rush yet nice to hear they are being released on Blu-ray.

Hate that I have to buy the Boxset, cause I just want the original. How long does it usually take for them to sell these individually? And does anyone know when they will be selling Back to the Future movies individually, cause I just want the original for that too?
Thanks.
Thanks.

i'll be waiting for it to reach the $15 price point just like BTTF - also i don't want to pre-order only to find out they used the original shitty packaging BTTF had. i wish hot wheels would do a JP explorer like they did with the delorean from BTTF.

Hope it does hit with 7.1, that would be glorious! Now have to see what prices are like before deciding between the regular and limited sets.

I'll grab this - I like all of them enough to buy it. LW is easily the weakest, though.
That LE sets looks mediocre in those stock shots. I'd guess the final product will be even less impressive. It'll rot on the shelves until being reduced down to nothing years later.

One of my all time favorite movies. I'll probably end up picking up the T-Rex LE set....if the price is right....

I hope the actual transfers look better than the trailer in 1080p.

That's a cool looking box set, but I only want the first. Knowing Universal, I shall be waiting a looooooong time for it.

I'm having second thoughts. I'm definitely in for all three, but if I wait two more months for Christmas, my parents or in-laws will drop the $50 instead of me. Also if I have the second Indiana Jones movie on my shelf, I can have the second JP movie without losing much sleep over it.

I was thinking that they could do a big can of shaving cream with swing out trays that hold the discs. Though, a can the diameter of a disc would be quite large.

That is the same price as Back to the Future trilogy set, so not too much of a shock. So hopefully can be had for a decent price rather quick. Personally willing to pay $25-30 for the set although my one true desire is for the 1st film.
