I wonder if they'll re-incorporate the unaltered zeplin footage. For those not aware, the scenes in the zeplin were shot using a special rig dubbed a shakey-cam by the crew. It was the polar opposite of a steadycam and was used to demonstrate the power of the engines. Unfortunately, the effect looked like crap on home video so they steadied the footage in post for the home video releases.

Well, they certainly made it easy to find!
I realize the photo above is the link, but searching "Rocketeer" or "Rocketeer Blu" under Movies & TV at Amazon returns only the DVD and/or the VHS tape.
A bit easier to dig up on Amazon.ca (for interested Canadians), but higher priced, of course:

Fuck...if this thing gets extras...I'm there. It's very well made..just some of those most advanced of the effects looked horrible to me when I saw it this year. Otherwise...loved it like crazy. Was such a great choice for Johnston to get Cap.

Still dont why they didnt announce it on June 20th durring the screening, but definately a pleasant surprise. Iam more excited for this than i am for Star wars in a few weeks.
And thanks to a 15 dollar amazon promo igot for a seriously late prime delivery from last week i have my pre order set for 3.49
the DVD thing kind of scares me, hopefully this isnt for the DVD and they accidentally put the bluray picture on their in its place. and some point in the future they correct it and then list one that say BD at a higher price. even the msrp is pretty low for a disney catalog title.

I never saw this one but have heard good things - I'll probably give it a rental first though. That is, of course, if Netflix carries it. They never seem to upgrade catalog titles.

I haven't seen this film since 1992 or so, but I've had the soundtrack album (being the Horner nut that I am) for years and love it completely.
Be nice to revisit this film with fresh eyes.
