You are, of course, entitled to your opinion. Perhaps you'd like to try on one of these lovely masks...

And it was infectious, because the lady who played the head nurse told us that Rick was the first to cast an African American in a lead role in a horror movie, even though this was 1981 and both Night and Dawn of the Dead (among dozens of others) had already done that, with actual lead roles (unlike her character). So basically, we'd need the guy who recorded it to confirm that it was done, otherwise it'll be a mystery. And if he DID, it's likely the track would just be a lot of incorrect recollections anyway. |

Your with New Beverly? I do have to say you have a great theatre though, with awesome progaming and i regularly attend there several times a month.
And usually the Q&As you guys put on are really good. so please dont take my critcism of this one particular Q&A the wrong way. As for TERROR IN THE AISLES, I was thinking perhaps since it's a bonus feature and thus not actually for sale on its own, perhaps they can get away with using the original clips? Not sure how that stuff works but seems to me that there would have to be a reason for them to release the film this way, as fans have been asking for it for years and thus it hardly needs to be lumped in with a movie that's already been released 2-3 times. |

I'm "with" them in the sense that I host one screening a month for Horror Movie A Day (usually at midnight), and Halloween III happened to be one of those screenings. So, um... yeah, it's sort of a direct criticism of me especially when you point out the other Q&As they do are really good, LOL. But hey, I had fun.

What are the odds that Halloween III may be a retailer exclusive?

re: Halloween II -- 9/13/11
I think it's safe to say at this point that Universal is saving Halloween III for the film's 30th Anniversary next year. As for II, it's a pity that none of the interview footage mentioned in the first post of this thread will be included, but Terror being in 1080p will be a nice extra. In a way, the doc reminds me of the That's Entertainment! films - the connecting host segments are hokey and the clips often seem to be arbitrarily selected, but the sheer variety of the material, most of which will never see the light of day in HD, make it a welcome extra.

Good news on Terror in the Aisles:

Who has the best price for Halloween 2? I can't locate it at DVD Price Search.

Re: Halloween II -- 9/13/11
I'll buy this. Halloween I and Halloween II are the only Halloween films that exist to me. The rest were never made because they were crap. The whole shebang should have ended with the second one.

Re: Halloween II -- 9/13/11
Halloween is the one series that I love so much I never really mind double-dipping as long as there are some decent extras or a nice transfer.
Cheers for both! |

Re: Halloween II -- 9/13/11
From avforums:
Halloween II looks the best it ever has, detail is excellent. Terror in the Aisles, hmmm looks the best it ever has, but is not great HD with a serious amount of grain. DVD quality I'd say. It is in the correct aspect ratio and is complete as far as I can remember... This looks for the most part pretty damn good in 1080p. Please note the audio is standard DTS (says DTS Processed 5.1 Surround on the box) for those that get hung up on lack of lossless tracks. Terror in the Aisles is presented in 1080p with a running time of 1 hour 22 mins and has a standard stereo track. 8 minutes of deleted scenes and a woeful alternate ending complete the package |

My pants just expanded a bit.

Re: Halloween II -- 9/13/11
For clarification, the Blu-ray does in fact have a lossless track; DTS-HD MA 2.0 to be exact.
However, since the retards at AVS and Blu-ray.com think everything should be remixed in 5.1, people ignore the fact that films like Halloween II were originally mixed in stereo. |
