If the price of an item has decrease after a pre-order been placed, Amazon will automatically price match, without the customer's notification.

Yup, I know...but I always like to see my order total go down lol. I have this on the same pre-order with two other June 7 titles, Madagascar and The Man Who Would Be King.

I linked to amazon's URL for the picture and that's how big it came out. Not sure how to make it smaller. I don't use image hosting sites and didn't feel like setting up an account to upload one picture (yep lazy lol).

According to amazon, release date for this title has been bumped back to July 5.

Hmmm...according to DVD Savant's review (and the info already in this thread), this set contains both the Director's Cut, and the Theatrical Cut. However, the description up for it at Amazon, describes it as Strangely, the run time is listed as 149 minutes in the product details. The info on the case photos describes nothing.

I assume we go with Savant's review, since he seems to have actually held it in his hands.

There are 3 versions of Das Boot so the description on Amazon could apply to either the director's cut or the theaterical cut as they both were cut down from the 282 minute version.

I trust amazon's description of specs pretty much last of anybody's. They're often wrong.

The original announcement said original theatrical and director's cuts. Glenn's comments agree with that, so I would bet that's what we're getting.

Really looking forward to this release.

It has the Director's Cut and the Theatrical version.
