Buy.com & Deepdiscount also have these for under $5 each.

Anyone know if closed captioning is an option on these films?

I just watched Straight Talk and Big Business tonight, great upgrades from the DVD in both cases (Straight Talk benefitting most from the upgrade) ... barebones releases but well worth the price.

No captions or subtitles on Gross Anatomy. Picked up Big Business but haven't watched that yet.

I would definitely buy Camp Nowhere if it was released on BD. One of my favorite movies when I was younger.

I'd get Camp Nowhere as well along with Indiana Summer if those were released on BD.

Re: The Mill Creek Buena Vista Blu-ray Bargain Bonanza Appreciation Thread

According to Wal-Mart, Mill Creek is releasing the following titles on June 13th:

Baby: Secret of the Lost Legend (1985, Mill Creek has already reissued a DVD in anamorphic widescreen)
Ernest Goes to Jail (single disc, expect the same 1080i transfer)
Ernest Scared Stupid (hey, where's Ernest Saves Christmas?)
Holy Matrimony (1994)
Last Dance (1996)
Miami Rhapsody (1995)
Play it to the Bone (1999)
Scenes from a Mall (1991)
The Tie That Binds (1995)
The War at Home (1996)

All have $5.00 SRPs as per the Wal-Mart (the other Mill Creek titles have $9.99 SRPs), but take this with a grain of salt as there has been nothing from Mill Creek yet. For all we know, these could be DVD releases until further information.

If this is true, I just want Camp Nowhere.

I'd buy Scenes from a Mall...nothing like some $5 Mazursky on BD.

According to users on Blu-ray.com, Ernest Scared Stupid only contains a lossy Dolby Digital 2.0 track.

Saw a few new titles at Fry's (VI Warshawski and a couple others I can't remember, no Ernests), but they were all $6.99.

I don't think it would've had much in the way of a dynamic soundscape to begin with, so I can live with 2.0 since that's how I've always heard it. At least it's a 1080p widescreen image.

Now if I could just find the damn thing...

Re: The Mill Creek Buena Vista Blu-ray Bargain Bonanza Appreciation Thread

I updated the initial post to list all titles, links to Amazon, and confirmed technical specs.

Another title, Play it to the Bone, is confirmed to have only Dolby Digital 2.0. The original DVD? 5.1.

Re: The Mill Creek Buena Vista Blu-ray Bargain Bonanza Appreciation Thread

Saw a bunch of those titles in a $5 bin near the cashiers at Wal*Mart. I've thought about grabbing The War At Home, but it's not one that I've been in a hurry to jump on, especially considering the reputations of some of these companies releasing these...

Never saw Camp Nowhere, but I love summer camp movies. Any comparisons to draw?

Did you ever see Accepted?

Replace the college for a summer camp and Lewis Black for Christopher Lloyd and there you go.

Thanks for the heads up and keeping on top of the OP MC.

Is the 'Wrong Boys' supposed to be the Dave Foley film 'The Wrong Guy'?

The only other Hollywood/Touchstone films with wrong or guy in the title are 'Mr. Wrong', 'Boys', 'The Jerky Boys' and 'Sorority Boys' so I'm presuming that is the one.

Edit: never mind.. found it.
