Had to place the order for the UK set, won't really matter about the QOS disc if it's the only one that isn't region free, I'll just switch it with the one I have already...

Best Buy has it slightly cheaper than Amazon right now ($179.99 compared to $184.99). I assume Amazon will match.

Apparently this will be $149.99 at Best Buy (via leaked circular on Blu-ray.com) so make sure to report the lower price to Amazon!

That $150 is pretty much my price point. Pretty amazing...even with NY tax, $7 and change per movie. I don't have any Bond on BD (except Never Say Never Again and Casino Royale two-disc). It's going to be hard to get the whole collection more economically.

This wasn't really on my radar until I saw this. BB continues to get an increasing amount of my BD business.

I would end up paying about $20 more for the US set, if Amazon price matches, than for the UK set.

I think I'm following your logic... but my preorder price from Amazon.co.uk the current exchange rate for the Bond box is at $126.59 (which includes p/h, but not credit card foreign transaction fee).

I'm from Canada, my tally is as follows:

UK set:
Set-About 125$ after the exchange rate
Import fees-18-25$
Region A QoS disc-About 20$
Total-Around 170$

US set:
Set-150$
Shipping-8$
Taxes-32$ (of which I'll get x amount back because Amazon overcharges us)
Total-190$

I'm thinking of biting the bullet and just getting the US set, but for that I need the Amazon pricematch.

Looks like I will be buying the individual releases since I have the current batch that was released. I just hope they are $10 or less.

I brought Die Another Day, For Your Eyes Only, From Russia with Love, Dr. No, Thunderball, Live and Let Die from Amazon back in Dec 08 for $39.94

I also got Goldfinger, Moonraker, Man With The Golden Gun, License To Kill, The World Is Not Enough, Casino Royale, & Quantum Of Solace from Dvd Planet for free because of credit I had with them for trading in dvds. The last one is Never Say Never Again from Amazon for about $15.

I haven't ever had to pay any duty/import fees when ordering from Amazon.co.uk to Canada, even when ordering oversized items like BSG - maybe I've just gotten lucky but I have yet to be hit - so in my estimate, this set should cost about 125 all in if that trend continues.

Responding to an old post...browsing the James Bond thread at HTF, it has been posted that an amazon exec, in an email reply to the member there, has given the length of the bonus book as 71 pages.

Bah, I would rather have a $16 (after tax) discount at BB than a book excerpt. It is strange that the listing on Amazon no longer mentions or shows the book extra anymore. I canceled my preorder with Amazon.
