I always price adjust... I go by BB every day to and from work... I NEVER intended on paying more than 150...

The girl next to my dad won the box-set give-away at the theater last night. Small crowd - only had to beat 25 people or so in a game of "heads or tails".

It's a nice set, but I have to admit that extras disc is plain ass. They could have easily spread them out on the movie discs since there's only 4 extras. But the World of Bond does have 6 parts, all very short except for the title sequences all strung together which is pretty damn cool, but no HD sound which sucks.

i said to myself..."I will get this only if they have it at Target", since I was getting Avengers there and didn't want to go to BB at all this week.

i got the only set at Target just now for Blu. they had one DVD and one Blu (perhaps more in back, but online it said 'limited stock' at my store, so i think i got lucky) price adjusted to BB, but i am not sure i am keeping it.

was never into the earlier Bond films, but i also think i was too young to appreciate them since i do love the franchise now. it is such a hefty price too.

Grabbed my copy this morning as well when getting the Avengers. Also love how it has a slot for Skyfall!

I fucking love this set, been flipping through it the last few minutes. So I guess I was one of the lucky ones who got the book of posters? I preordered back in April.

I was SO looking forward to getting my set today, and what do I get from UPS but "Delivery delayed due to external factors." WTF?

The KICKER is that UPS delivered my Avengers Blu-ray today! What did they do, forget to drop off Bond? Accidently run over my copy with their truck?

EDIT: I just found out they left my box at the UPS center. Bastards.

Got mine today and love it. I didn't know it came with a small hard cover book. Was this an exclusive? Nice surprise!

I picked this up today as well. However, I took off the stupid cardboard cover/back. The little glue drops (whatever you call them) started coming loose and the cover started falling off after I removed the plastic.

Great looking set. I still have my old DVDs (the original MGM SE box sets and the FOX re-releases) So this is essentially a triple dip. Is there anything in those sets worth keeping or should I dump them? Doesn't the Die Another Day DVD have a longer making of documentary not included in this set?

I know it would be a pain in the ass to research, but I would love to know what extras from the DVDs didn't make it to this set?

I only owned a few of the SEs and then sold them to get the UEs, so I can't comment on those. However, the new BDs supposedly drop the "Mission Control" section of the UE bonus material, which if memory serves was mostly just clips from the films but also had the opening title sequences without credits and some short featurettes about filming locations.

And yes, the original Die Another Day DVD had documentary extras that were not included in the UE or any BD release.

You know, being in a "book" sort of packaging, couldn't they have written down somewhere what the extras are on each disc or something, anything?

I ordered the set on Amazon the day it was first available. When the price dropped, the price of my order didn't adjust, so I canceled and re-ordered at the lower price. I didn't realize there was a book involved with the early orders.

However, when my set arrived today, it had the book with it! So there you go. Just watched The Living Daylights, which looked pretty good.

I was thinking the same thing earlier. Some liner notes would have been great instead of those dopey pictures.

I wish the young Britt Ekland came with the set.

How long did you wait? I think it takes 24-48 hours generally.

Some people have reported getting duplicate discs. FYI

Following up on this...researching on the net, it appears that the discs that are reissues still have the "Mission Control" feature. The new-to-BD titles have apparently dropped it.

I don't own the set yet so maybe someone who has it can confirm this.

The old Die Another Day extras still seem to be MIA.

I hear one of the extras from one of the Casino Royal releases is missing - I'd like to know what else is missing, and if there's any new stuff.
