Ugh, nice enough set, but the outer box is a flimsy piece of shit that'll be destroyed in week, the plastic hubs that the blu-rays were on fall right off from where they adhere to the inside of the "tables" as I pull the discs off them - the hubs are attached with only the slightest amount of glue - had to use my own super glue to put them back on. And pretty much all the DVDs are scratched to shit from the loose plastic debris floating around inside the "tablet"-case.

Went to Target on Wednesday to pick-up Tangled and saw only one LE on the shelf and I ended up getting it. #51 thousand something.

Stunning package I must say in terms of content. Not a fan of the tablets, they feel cheap and I'm starting to think those little magnets will fall off. But the movie(s) and extras are simply amazing to have. Paramount done good with this one.

Just opened my set. No loose discs, but I haven't checked them yet. Hopefully they are in decent shape. This is such a ridiculously over the top package. The marketing guys must have had a blast coming up with this. I got #41447.

I got my set today and the magnets don't even work to keep the tablets together. I'm likely to find a 3-disc or more blu-ray case and just keep all of the discs in there. If I can find a case big enough for all six discs I will throw them all in there and just shelve the set.

Laser Movies

I got my copy from B&N.com today and discovered one of the DVDs was loose when I opened it. Unfortunately I found one of the retainer clips on the disc hub inside the tablet was broken and that was why the DVD came off. The DVD looks fine but I think I'm going to exchange the set at a local store since it is broken. Also it gives me an excuse to use a 50% store coupon to buy something else while I'm there.

The BDs in my set are in good shape, but 2 of the dvds aren't, but not a big deal since I doubt I'll watch those. Not sure why it is, but box sets always seem to be more prone to scratched discs, even if they're securely on the hubs.

No packaging issues though. Getting the discs underneath the flip trays is a bit of a chore. I thought I was going to break the BD disc 3 while trying to remove it.

So if I don't want all of the extra stuff, is the only major difference between the CE and the normal Blu, the documentary? And for that matter, is that the doc that's on the newest CE DVD, which I have. I would like to pick up the normal Blu, but the doc sounds interesting, although not necessarily $40 extra interesting.

Thank you B&N 50% off coupon, as well as membership card and extra 10% B&N took off since it was a new release this week.

Bought the Collector's Edition for under $40. #58,358 or something like that. LOL not looking at it right this second. Can't wait to watch it, the extras looked great. And no problems with any of the disc when opening the package, other then confusion at first as to how to get to the two discs behind the DVD version. But figured that one out quickly.

Thanks to BN and more to DVDTalk. If I wasn't a member here, I wouldn't have known about this great deal. As soon as I read about the coupon I looked for my Target receipt from Wednesday and checked my local BN if they had it in stock. They did and I got it for $36.44 as well. Returning my Target purchase tomorrow.

Anyone have the actual artwork to print out and put in a multi disc case? I'm thinking about getting a case that will hold at least the 3 BDs and put them in there and on my shelf.

After finally getting a chance to really check out my set I realized that someone put the magnets it so that they repel each other. Damn idiot! Now I'm going to return the set and get another one so that the tablets actually stay together.

Good thing that I didn't buy the collector's set yet. I was really tempted since I'm a sucker for good and unique packaging. But when I saw that picture of Moses was peeling off at my local store, I decided it wasn't worth the price. And with all the other trouble this set seem to have, looks like I made the right choice. I will still get it if I can get the set for less than $40, but I'm not going to lose any sleep over it even if I end up not getting the set.
