Is the City Slickers blu-ray going to be in all stores or is it only ever going to be at Best Buy ?

Thanks for the info BSTNFAN. If it's 19.96 or less it's mine. I'm not paying a premium for the book.

As others already posted, $15 was the price I saw, as well.

Updated with a bunch of Mill Creek titles that are exclusive to Wal-Mart until August. Note that although the website claims most or all of them are "Not Sold in Stores," there may be a display this week with these titles.

As per the thread title, these are just early releases exclusive to one retailer. The OP has the list, and when I find end dates for the exclusive windows, I add them.

You can add Holy Matrimony and Last Dance to the WM Mill Creek exclusives also.

Gees. This shit is getting annoying. Wal-Mart is so random to what it stocks, and while I'd like Scary Movie 2 and 3, I'm sure and hell not going to pay extra for shipping.

I love that Wal-Mart is going to be the exclusive home to a movie about heroin ;)

Man, I hate going to Walmart. I haven't been to one in years. I hope those are available on their website, or else I'll just wait until they lose the exclusive.

The problem with Walmart exclusives is that its hit and miss as to which walmarts will actually carry them in store. especially in places where there are not a lot of wal marts.(such as in L.A.)

Its not like Bestbuy or even target where pretty much every location gets them in and once they have sold out it doesnt take to long for a fesh stock to arrive.

Re: Definitive List of Store Exclusive Early Releases

I'll just order the MGM discs online. At 10 each 4 of them with shipping and tax is $50, or about 12.50 per disc. I can live with losing $7 and not having to hunt around at different Walmarts for them.

Can't you just do "Ship-To-Store" for free?

Re: Definitive List of Store Exclusive Early Releases

As per a forum poster on Blu-Ray.com, the cover for Throw Momma From the Train is up at Walmart.com and there is a sticker on it boasting "Never-before-seen Extras!"

Re: Definitive List of Store Exclusive Early Releases

It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World
- Something a Little Less Serious: A Tribute to It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World (1:01:21)
- Extended Scenes (59:16)
- Theatrical Trailer (3:27) HD
- Re-Issue Trailer (3:21) HD

Throw Momma From the Train
- "Crafting a Dark Comedy" Featurette
- "Why Do You Hate Your Mother?" Featurette
- "The Night Was..." Featurette
- Deleted Scenes
- Theatrical Trailer

The others should mimic the DVDs. And speaking of Mimic, Blu-Ray.com says:
- Introduction and Audio Commentary from Director Guillermo del Toro
- Behind-the-scenes retrospective featurette
- Featurette looking at the creatures in Mimic
- Deleted/Alternate Scenes
- Outtakes
- Storyboard Animatics

Interestingly, the three Lionsgate/Miramax exclusives for 9/20 all vanished from Wal-Mart.com and none of the remaining listings say "Exclusive" anymore.

Re: Definitive List of Store Exclusive Early Releases

I haven't seen Mimic since it was in theaters, but I might pick it up for under $10.

Re: Definitive List of Store Exclusive Early Releases

Trainspotting is not a Walmart exclusive. It's available for 9/13 pre-order at other places, like Amazon and Best Buy.

Lolita and Barry Lyndon exclusive ends on 8/23 (available for preorder at Walmart, Best Buy).

Re: Definitive List of Store Exclusive Early Releases

Removed all of the Miramax exclusives except Jackie Brown. Moved the Wal-Mart exclusives onto the list properly. Dropped a few expired titles.

Had to laugh at the Vudu stickers on the Walmart MGM discs. They peel off and the codes are on the back. What's to keep someone from peeling every sticker off in store?

Not so sure about this one. All three are on Best Buy's site with the 8/30 date.
