Trailer kinda sucks, but the movie is great. This is also rumored to be the next CJ limited edition digipak release in Korea, if you're into collecting those.

Awesome news! This was a favorite of mine from Fantastic Fest! Loved it!

I usually don't like Korean movies except for few exceptions (Oldboy, My Sassy Girl are great) But this movie really got me interested.

Many Korean Limited DVDs have the best packaging EVER. I used to import mediocre Korean movies and non-Korean movies, just for packaging. "Fighter in the Wind" LE DVD is still my all time favorite packaging. And I still regret that I didn't get the leather book packaging of "Dances with Wolves" DVD from Korea.
But unfortunately, the Korean Blu-ray packaging so far have been unimpressive. Hope this one gets great packaging and extras. I will get the LE if it does, otherwise I will wait until I can get it around $10 in US.

The CJ Entertainment limited edition releases have great packaging, although it's a bit fragile as you can see from the tops of a couple of them.

I don't know how to upload picture, but you got to see some of the old Korean DVD limited editions. They are sturdy, creative, and tons of extras. I got movies, even though I know it was mediocre, because I couldn't resist the packaging and extras.

When is the BD coming out in KR?

I hate to derail the thread, but I've gotta know, is the $15-20 price difference to pick up the Universe Laser BD of this worth it? I've been reading up on the differences between the UL and Wells releases and I don't like the images of the Wells over at Beaver. With everything else essentially being the same (I don't have a 7.1 system) aside from the UL features in SD only, I'm still a little on the fence over the visual treatment done by Wells. Thanks.

OT - pre-ordered TMFN. The director did a nice job with Cruel Winter Blues, an offbeat jopok film that pits two gangsters together in a rural setting with the mother (of one) between both.

Darn it! I put the preorder in at Amazon. For that price, it seems like a good deal. Another $14 gone.

I like this movie a lot but I'm not paying the $40 that Yesasia is charging. I put in my pre order at Amazon, too.

Wow, what a great price. Really liked this film. Not the most original movie but very stylish and entertaining. Yikes, didn't know about the Ip Man BD though. That worries me.

Anybody know when I Saw the Devil will hit blu ray?

Does the US version contain the same special features?

If the difference is couple of postcards for Korean version, then I will definitely go for the US version, but if it's just movie with no extra, then I might be tempted to pick up the Korean version.

I just watched "Mother" yesterday and I was amazed at the bad ass guy in this movie plays the retarded son. This guy is an amazing actor. My favorite film of last year was "I Saw The Devil". If you haven't seen this yet, seek it out. It is not for everyone, you must have a strong stomach but very satisfying.

It's only a sawbuck at walmart.com. Hopefully Amazon will price match.

Cant say enuff about how much I love this film. If u havent already, go get it. If ur on the fence about a blind buy, DL says BUY IT becuz u wont be disappointed.
