It seems like they missed a big opportunity by not releasing this in time for Halloween.

Wasn't it only in theaters like in late August or early September though?? Also to anyone who saw it is it any good? The preview made it look like it could be alright, but the IMDB rating is pretty low. Then again I find it hard to trust that place for its ratings most of the time.

Its definitely a film you need to see if you like it or not yourself. I went with 5 family members and it was split down the middle. I liked it alot while others liked it up until the ending which i hear alot of people hate. I liked it because it was different and from left field.

Edit: Whoa, 5000th post! Almost missed it.

The poster/cover art was the best thing about the movie. Still worth a rent though.

With this being a Lionsgate release, it should probably drop rather quickly. And it'll also have another 7.1 DTS mix. A film like this will probably make good use of surrounds.

Loved they used the theatrical poster art for the cover.

Probably will get this on release if it's cheap.

Eli Roth prouced it.. the sick funny twisted ending is cool to make you hate the entire film .. worth buying (once Lionsgate lowered its cost - $7.99 perhaps?)

Nice slipcover with this one. Only issue I have is they put a stupid features sticker on the front and I am wary of trying to remove it.

Nice slip indeed!! I had no problems peeling off the factory sticker. Whatever you do, do not use Goo Gone. It will ruin the slipcover.

Re: The Last Exorcism - 1/4/11

Count me in the camp that wasn't happy with all the stickers on this really nice slipcover. I usually don't care for slipcovers but this one is really nice.

The Best Buy sticker and the Ad sticker both took off a little of the cover here and there. Luckily because of the color/material of the slipcover it's hardly noticeable.

Re: The Last Exorcism - 1/4/11

My ad sticker came off super easy, but the Best Buy one stuck like glue. Sure wish I would have seen a/v junkie's warning before busting out the goo gone, but I only lost a little of the red in the last couple letters of the title. Still better than the ugly sticker I guess, but it's too bad such a nice slipcover had to be tainted.

Yea...I said tainted.

Re: The Last Exorcism - 1/4/11

It was good, and I was pleased with the disc quality, but if you really want to see a good POV exorcism film, [REC]2 is much better in scares and creepiness. "The Last Exorcism" was good as a 'documentary', as they didn't show anything scary or creepy really until well into the film, making it more realistic.

Same for me, the ending was ok, but I thought more could have been done...

Re: The Last Exorcism - 1/4/11

Is the digital copy on the dvd disc or is it on its own disc? I bought this yesterday and there are only 2 discs and a third empty spot. At least I wound up with the DVD and BD copies if I did get the short end of the stick.

I really wish they would release REC and REC2 on Blu already in the US. Definitely some great filmmaking there. Cant wait to see the last two films they are making.
