I think Sly said he's working on that now and that it'll be released next year. But they could save it to tie-in with the sequel.

This seems likely. There is definitely a longer director's cut as Sly has openly talked about it. I know most here will run out and buy this version instantly, but I'll pass on the theatrical cut and wait for the inevitable loaded director's cut since I don't plan on revisiting this film any time soon.

He will probably do the same thing he did with the release of Rambo, I'll gladly buy both. What an awesome cover. I was hoping this would be out before christmas.

I follow him on Twitter and he just locked his extended Director's cut. I will pass on this plus I didn't like the movie but I will watch it again in Director's Cut form.

Awesome... looking forward to this. I love how Bruce Willis is on the cover, even though he was in the movie for like 5 minutes.

Disappointing about the lack of the DC. Liked the movie, but with everything else coming out 4th qtr this won't even be on my radar.

Yeah, I'll wait for the DC. Stallone was on Twitter talking about editing it; he recently said he feels he likes the DC more than the theatrical cut.
