Re: The Official "DigiBooks rock!" Thread
Digibooks are great. They add a lot to the perceived value of the film...they're classy. If Escape From New York was issued in a digibook with better art I would have picked it up already, even if I had to pay an extra 5 or 10 bucks. Crazy, I know, but there it is.

I consider the digibook a classier way to showcase the disc and extra content in itself so I think it is worth a few extra bucks. However, most of the digibooks that I own cost me at or less than the cost of the regular version of the movie. I hope they keep making them as I have a special place for them right next to my Criterion BDs.
I own these:
Amadeus
Bonnie & Clyde
Clash of the Titans
Dr. Strangelove
Falling Down
How the West was Won
Natural Born Killers
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
Poltergeist
Se7en
The Shawshank Redemption
Star Wars: The Clone Wars the Complete Season One
Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory

Great idea for a thread.
Love Digibooks when I can get them for under $15 and they are movie I want. Very glad to hear Bridge is a Digibook. Also excited about Kong and Exorcist.

I've got a few - love 'em. I agree that it makes collecting a little more fun again. I'm always pleased when a film I really want (like King Kong '33) is announced as one.

I love them aswell. Really disappointed Heat wasn't released as a digibook. Seems a title worthy of one.
I don't have a big collection of them yet. I will get the North by Northwest one next. Gonna see who those new Fox titles look from Germany.
I thought I would show you some close-ups of the German Warner Premium Collection I Am Legend.
All the text inside inside is in German. The digibook comes with a clear plastic sleeve. The ratings logo is printed on that sleeve.

As much as I like these I'll never understand the mentality of people who feel they have to collect them all. They aren't really an official collection or anything they're just certain movies that a studio chooses to put in this particular packaging. I could maybe even see if they were numbered or something like The Criterion Collection even though I still don't completely get that either but it makes a little more sense. I guess to me its one thing if you like all the movies, but if I don't like a movie or thought it was just okay or whatever I'm not buying it just because its a digibook. I get that people like to collect but it just seems silly to collect something even if you don't really care for the contents on the disc.

Haven't heard of this happening to anyone yet, though if it did I suppose the best course of action would be to contact WB (or Sony) about it and see if a replacement was possible.

What do you do if you damage your tv set packaging? That is one to ponder for you. Damn if some people don't want others to quit buying digibooks. I don't see how hard it is to keep your cases safe. As a matter of fact I have had more regular cases damaged due to things like melted shrinkwrap on the spine than I have had with a digibook, which has been zero problems so far.

Re: The Official "DigiBooks rock!" Thread
Hate to revive a thread from last year but speaking of quality issues with digibooks, I have to ask:
Does anyone else have any problems w/ the digibook release of the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory? Most of the pages in mine are creased in odd ways and even torn on one side (as if someone took a knife to the images and scratched the ink off). I tried to contact WB but I've heard absolutely nothing. To make it worse, I'm in Canada and I can't find a Canadian customer service line or contact for WB at all.
