I love digibooks. They just look so much better than the plain blu-ray cases.

Re: The Official WB Digibook-->Regular Packaging Thread
I just got a few UK Digibooks the other day myself :)
Love those (German?) Warner ones. Where did, and how much did they cost? |
Re: The Official WB Digibook-->Regular Packaging Thread
Of all threads, this is hardly the one to be showing off your Digibooks.

I love DigiBooks! :)

Re: The Official "DigiBooks rock!" Thread
At the moment, I just have a few (North By Northwest, How The West Was Won, Doctor Zhivago, JFK, and Bonnie & Clyde). Can't say I have a problem with any of them...

Re: The Official "DigiBooks rock!" Thread
I could go either way really... I guess it just all depends on the price. I actually really like the Digibook for Falling Down.
|
Re: The Official "DigiBooks rock!" Thread
To answer your question in the other thread, the German digibooks are about $27 each on amazon.de
Fox is also releasing a line of digibooks in Germany soon for titles such as Braveheart, Predator, Kingdom of Heaven, Independence Day, and more |

Re: The Official "DigiBooks rock!" Thread
They are very nice even though I only have one at the moment (North by Northwest). I used to think that with Blu-ray I wanted to keep everything consistent and just have all standard Blu-ray cases, but for some movies that are more special to me I really like this style. Some that I hope to get soon are Batman, Se7en, The Shawshank Redemption, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. The only thing I wish about them is they would have a clasp or something to keep them shut.

Re: The Official "DigiBooks rock!" Thread
Some of the fancier ones:
http://i55.tinypic.com/2zycy8o.jpg Has a really nice embossed front and sparkling gold coloring for the helmet. http://i53.tinypic.com/25jhytw.jpg Picture speaks for itself. Gorgeous design on this one. http://i51.tinypic.com/zxa4ix.jpg http://i54.tinypic.com/ao9hdk.jpg http://i55.tinypic.com/jgnl2x.jpg Has subtle accents of the same mother-of-pearl-type-sheen as the three above. http://i54.tinypic.com/8vr9jc.jpg If I were only allowed to keep 10 of my ~1200 Blu-Rays, this would undoubtedly be one of them. http://i54.tinypic.com/10xg8kg.jpg Something about the coloring on this one is so perfectly unsettling. http://i52.tinypic.com/2pzcqko.jpg ~*shiny*~ |

Re: The Official "DigiBooks rock!" Thread
Very nice.
I really appreciate what Warner has done with the Digibooks. They've made collecting movies fun again. |
Re: The Official "DigiBooks rock!" Thread
I'm not that into packaging but I definitely like Digibooks the best. I think they are way nicer looking than those steelbooks everyone here goes nuts for. That said, its just as silly for people to arbitrarily collect Digibooks just for the packaging regardless of the actual film. But, if I had a choice between a regular blu-ray case & a digibook, I will always take the Digibook.

Re: The Official "DigiBooks rock!" Thread
I love Digibooks. The way they feel in your hands reminds me of those Little Golden Books we all read as kids.
|
Re: The Official "DigiBooks rock!" Thread
Digibooks are freakin' awesome. I will always take a DigiBook over a standard DVD case. I think the best decision I ever made though was to tell myself I didn't need to buy every DigiBook available, but only the ones that I really want, or am slightly on the fence about (if there's a movie I'm not sure if I want to buy or not, I'll buy it if it's in a DigiBook). The self-realization that I don't need all of them has been nice.
|
Re: The Official "DigiBooks rock!" Thread
I have two... I like the feel and weight of them, just wish they were a bit more in line with case sizes. The only thing is I wouldn't want one if it's part of a series (batman, matrix) or could possibly get a sequel (300), that would drive me nuts.
|
Re: The Official "DigiBooks rock!" Thread
I am always down for the digibook version if available. So far I have gotten 300, Batman, Clash of the TItans, Falling Down, Green Mile, Poltergeist, Shawshank, se7en, Star Wars S1 and Willy Wonka. Ordered Star Wars S2 and Exorcist. I wish more movies would come in them, a little added value for you $.

Re: The Official "DigiBooks rock!" Thread
List added. Please let me know if I missed any. Some DigiBooks have been discontinued, others I'm unsure of. Do we want to list the UK/German ones?
|
Re: The Official "DigiBooks rock!" Thread
You forgot The Bridge on the River Kwai.

Re: The Official "DigiBooks rock!" Thread
Since I still had this shot in my SD card, I thought I'd post a larger-sized version of it for you guys:

Re: The Official "DigiBooks rock!" Thread
What about "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull"? I know it's not the same design or even size as the rest of these, but I'd say that technically, it's kind of a DigiBook.
It's a beautiful set... it just doesn't fit in anywhere. :( |
