Even though the PS3 will be obsolete in a few years, that doesn't really affect it's place as a very good Blu-ray player. Maybe you're still thinking of mediocre DVD players that game systems served as, but you're pretty much wrong here.

I bought my last gaming system (Nintendo, though I don't recall which system) about 15 years ago; when I realized that I'd updated my entire system due to obsolescence at least 3 times previously, I decided to enjoy what I had until it died, and then give up gaming entirely
We can compare how our players are doing then.

Anyways, no problems with my Predators copy.

Hrm, maybe it's just an issue with my copy of Predators.
I'd probably agree with you Lemmy, but this is the first blu I've ever had issues with.
But, I went through maybe half-a-dozen DVD players because they stopped playing my DVDs.
I haven't had an issue with my PS3. I bought it PRIMARILY to play Blu's, with the added luxury to play state-of-the-art videogames. I don't mind not having the best of the best blu-ray player, but I'd like to at least PLAY my discs. But, this is my first issue, and I'm leaning towards it being an issue with my disc.
All my other discs have played smoothly (with the exception of a defunct Hot Tub Time Machine disc, but that was a manufacturing issue).
Thanks for all the input guys!
EDIT: Well, looky here. I just let it sit in my PS3 for five minutes, and it finally loaded up! Whodathunkit! Ah well, got to watch it, very satisfied.
