Jonah Hex on Blu-ray on 12 October - SRP $35.99

Warner will release Jonah Hex on Blu-ray on 12 October. This Josh Brolin comic actioner will arrive with a 1080p transfer, a DTS-HD 5.1 Master Audio sound mix, two featurettes and a set of deleted scenes. SRP is $35.99.

Wow! Do they really think we are going to pay $35.99 for this. Even if 1st day release has the price around $25, I still will not buy it.

Rental for me, then pick it up years later for $7.99 (for a gilty pleasure).

I'll stick with the Hex short that was on the Batman: Under the Red Hood Blu-ray.

Isn't that a pretty standard MSRP for new releases? I doubt they'd lower it just because the movie flopped.

Well most likely it will be between 19.99 and 24.99 when released.
Most big retailers dont charge full SRP, Nice try though.

I considered feeling bad for people who would spend any amount of money to own this movie, but ultimately decided it wasn't worth the effort.

BS that they aren't including the original cut which was apparently much better and R rated but not good enough for some.

Wake me up when it is about $10-$13. I would love to see it for guilty pleasure purposes (we need more cleavage on the cover shot), but even at $20, you must be crazy. Maybe we'll get the original cut down the road. It's happened on plenty of other movies(Daredevil, Elektra, etc).

Who said it was even finished to begin with, let alone better? Francis Lawrence was brought in and reshot nearly half the film.

I don't think Warner is going to want to sink anymore money into this thing... Does Warner re-release movies later on as director's cuts or extended editions? I know they did with The Exorcist...

They did approve Richard Donner's cut of Superman II, so I suppose anything's possible.

In interviews with one of the producers, Andrew Laszlo and another with Jimmy Hayward. Not to mention the fact that the script was practically shot with the ending in the script shown as the "soul fight."

Did you actually see the movie? Any change that gets it away from the stupid cannonball plot, which wasn't in the original script, is a better movie.

Not with recent movies. See: Terminator Salvation, Clash of the Titans. Both heavily fucked with by the studio in post-production, and we'll never see the movies the way we were intended to.
