I was all excited until I realized that this was not the George C. Scott version of a Christmas Carol. Oh well, the single disc Blu-ray version of this film should be enough.

So I got the retail release of this today. I'll explain how Disney is doing 3D on Blu-ray.
The 4 disc set includes
3D BD
2D BD
DVD
DC
The 3D BD will NOT play in a normal BD player. Period. You need to have a 3D BD Player AND a 3D TV for it to even load. So no 2D playback on it. It also included only 1 Bonus feature (even though it's a 50GB Disc), while the 2D BD has the rest. I guess this is so people won't keep the 3D BD (i.e. they have 1 3D BD player and several other BD players and would sell off the 2D BD). If you don't care about Special Features, and only plan on watching it in 3D, well, you should be happy. This makes sense as a 3D and 2D of the film + Special Features likely wouldn't fit on 1 BD50.

I dont think the extras are different between the 2 disc and 4 disc besides 3D version and Digital Copy. My Mom and myself were able to use the $10 coupon on the 2 disc set at Target in San Fran and San Diego areas today with no problems. You could always try that for $14.99 at Target for the 2 disc set.

I've been debating whether to buy the 4 disc or 2 disc version. I don't have a 3d setup (not sure if I ever will.) It is my understanding that the 3D blu-ray has two extra features: Mr. Scrooge's Wild Ride (1080p, 2:33, full HD 3D), a brief featurette on the making of the film; and Disney Blu-ray 3D Sneak Peek (1080p, 1:25, full HD 3D), an ad for upcoming Disney 3D Blu-ray titles.
Is that the only difference in the extra features between the two blu-ray releases? Thanks for clarifying!

the guy at Best Buy this afternoon price matched wrong (to my advantage) it rang up at 16.99 (for the 4-disc edition) and that was before using the $10 Disney coupon ... 7 bucks... major awesome!

For those interested, there is a $2 coupon for this movie on coupons.com. I was able to use the $10 and $2 coupon and Target and paid $13 for my copy.

The only $2 coupon I see on there is for the old Fox "A Christmas Carol," not the recent Disney one.

That's crazy! The one I printed out earlier this morning had the logo from the Disney one. Now I just re-checked the site and now it shows for the original version... I guess maybe it was an error on their part or something?
