Tell me that doesn't look great. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I wish the digibook had been set as the standard release format from the get-go, and all Blu-Rays came this way now. At least it'd force distributors to pony up some kind of written supplements.

Suffice it to say that I am very glad WB is continuing the trend with a relatively high-profile title like Se7en.
Your just missing Bonnie and Clyde HD DVD & Indiana Jones 4 (event though its DVD-style size). Interesting you put some HBO shows in the mix.

I have KotCS, it's just to the left of Band of Brothers. Absolutely no reason to own an HD-DVD though But yeah the miniseries have roughly the same size/build as a digibook so they fit in nicely.

I'm another big fan of the digibook. Surprised people hate them, I think they are fantastic packaging. Freaky that I just shipped off a huge box of DVDs for credit and Seven was one of them. I didn't know about this announcement, I just figured it would get a Blu-release eventually.

I'm in for day 1, but Warner should have called this: "Se7en: What's In The Box? Edition"

We really need spoilers for a film that's 15 years old?

You never know, some people can get pretty touchy about that kind of stuff.

6 if you count Natural Born Killers, but I don't since it's a different version of the film. And 2 regular releases have been re-released as digibooks.
Huh, I thought it was a larger margin than that. Guess I'm also thinking about the non-gift set releases of The Notebook and Casablanca. Still, I'd be surprised if Se7en didn't flip-flop to standard packaging after a while.

Local & legendary record store near my house. They only give like $2 a DVD usually, sometimes you get lucky & get 5 or 6 but its worth it for store credit there & I've unloaded most of my DVD collection. Just trying to weed out whats left & only keep what I truly think will never get released in Blu.

I do love the digibook they created. But it would have been really cool if the cover matched the notebook used in the movie. Similar to the 2-disc DVD.

Re: Se7en (Seven) Digibook -- 9/14/10

I'm personally holding out until each and ever extra is confirmed to carry over. It looks like the OPs list confirms most of them, but it's not everything.

I'm thinking they will be because I heard Fincher supervised this release just as he did with the Fight Club one (where all the extras carried over as well). But I guess I've been burned before so I'll still wait just in case.

Re: Se7en (Seven) Digibook -- 9/14/10

This one appears to be some of the special features from the CE. Also, no mention of the sound mix used. I would have loved to hear a lossless version of the original theatrical mix and the home theater mix they produced for the DVD. Something tells me we are getting a single lossless mix.

Sigh. Why do so many Blu-ray catalog releases get so close to perfection... and then miss the mark. It's infuriating.

Re: Se7en (Seven) Digibook -- 9/14/10

I'll get this when its out for sure. I don't really like the cover art though I'd rather they went with the notebook style packaging of the 2 disc Platinum Edition from New Line. Ah well..
