I want that. And I will be willing to commit crime for it. Heinous crime.

I'm so sick of the US not getting the cool special editions.

I guess I'm in the minority since I have no desire to get something like that. Just give me a really great 2 disc set with all the extras, and a great picture and audio masters and I'll be fine.

I have a question about the set. Besides the Blu-ray, what's in the box?

me too. Rarely do I go for those, and I wouldn't for this either but it's nice looking. I just want all the features I can get.

I'd feel like an idiot opening three different boxes to get to one movie, and i'm all for cool packaging.

Nope, you are not alone, I couldn't care less about what the movie is packaged in, yeah I prefer nice looking cover art over some crappy poster art but its no big dea.. But I can't understand why people pay extra just for a piece of cardboard or tin or whatever that just sits on your shelf. I buy movies for the well. . . movies, as strange as that may sound.

It looks like the only extra in the box is the comic book (200 pages, 7 issues) that was edited by Zenescope Entertainment, but in tiny size instead of regular comic book size. Not worth it in my opinion.

That set is cool looking but if all it is, is a comic and the Blu-ray stuffed in an over-sized box I''m just going with the regular US release. I still wish they had chosen to make the book packaging resemble one of the notebooks from the movie.

Steelbooks only are my preferred choice. There needs to be a consistent type of packaging, rather than several.

I wish all Blu Rays came in the Digibooks. I hate trading in the nice packages like Fight Club for a eco recylce blu ray case. They just feel cheap.

Count me in as another who doesn't care for this type of packaging. I prefer consistency, simplicity and durability over this sort of thing.

I learned this early on with DVD. Very shortly after buying a couple of special package DVD releases I realized that it's just taking up shelf space, is cumbersome and delicate to handle and really offers nothing except looks - and I never sit and stare at my shelf.

Every time a package like this comes out - I drool for about 3 seconds and then the love-affair is over.

Agreed. I've gotten rid a lot of my DVDs when I got them on Blu-ray. However, I can't get rid of Fight Club. It's just too cool of a package.

Re: Se7en (Seven) Digibook -- 9/14/10

Yeah, at least it would force the damn studios to make the effort to make what used to be an insert. Knowing them though they would probably just stop that after awhile too and just make it a hardcover book type blu ray case.

Re: Se7en (Seven) Digibook -- 9/14/10

Just a quick note. I got mine sent from the States early and received it yesterday.
Opened up the package and the book is amazing. Really glossy pages with quite up to date info inside. Haven't put the disc in the PS3 yet so no idea on any quality yet. Will try tonight and see what we get!
