UK Blu-Rays Playability?

Let The Right One In, Night of the Living Dead, and Switchblade Romance UK Blu-Rays. Do they play on a Region A Blu-Ray player? Also, how good are the picture, sound, and special features re. each?

Re: UK Blu-Rays Playability?

Whilest we're on the subject of playability I have a question about another Blu-Ray. The Japanese Blu-Ray of the Japanese edit of Kill Bill Vol.1, will it play on my Region A Blu-Ray player?

Japan is Region A, so yes.

I didn't think there was a confirmed Japanese BD of that, anyway, all the details look pretty sketchy.

Haute Tension/Switchblade Romance (UK/Optimum Release) is Region B locked. PQ is solid, upgrade from the DVD releases.

Both NOTLD releases have their issues, which are addressed here. The original release by Optimum is Region B locked, while the new release by Network is Region-Free. Again both have issues:

Can't the same be said about every release on DVD? Each one seemed to have their own specific shortcomings...

The Japanese Blu-ray for Kill Bill Vol. 1 is the US cut of the film. It even states this on the front cover so there is no reason to import the Japanese release unless you really want to spend a lot of money for little more extra features.

Whew! Good to know that's not the Japan cut. I'm sticking firm with my import DVDs on these two until available on Blu.

Re: UK Blu-Rays Playability?

Since there are no doubt a lot of questions like this, perhaps someone should change the title to Is this Blu-Ray Playable in the US? and make it a sticky?
