Re: The last Blu-ray you bought (Round 3)
seriously, DVDs are just becoming more and more lacking in every way possible. studios are putting more and more effort into Blu-ray sets and discs and DVDs are just becoming deader and deader as a medium and that ain't changing ever again. that is the fact and will continue to be so.
so i finally just realized that Blu-rays truly offer better quality in terms of video, audio and most importantly to me...extras. the previous Blus and upcoming are trumping their DVD counterparts ten-fold and i wants me some of that.
i think i was also a little intimidated of the technology and didn't think the integration of PiP commentaries and U-control functions (which i was curious about always) would come that easy to me in terms of operation and ease of use.
well, with my first viewings of Crank 2 and the PiP of the directors and The Thing with the wonderful PiP documentary integrated into the film, my fears have been dismissed. they were light, fun, informative and just plain cool as a feature. the on and off toggle of those functions were also a breeze. i love the Pop-up menus that don't interrupt the movie and Blus retain the same basic functionalities that i loved with DVD (save for the resume play function).
i had the space to hook it up with all my other components and was less hassle then i anticipated. hooked it up to internet easy, have a flash drive hooked up..all just trying to make the most of it.
all in all, it has been an easier then expected transition and looking forward to enjoying more of what my favorite movies have to offer.

Straight from Amazon France, Prison Break Season 2 and Season 4.
Still kinda pissed Fox never released them in the US, but ordering from Amazon.fr was painless and they were cheaper than Season 1 or Season 3 are here, anyway.
