Picked up the Final Cut of the original Wicker Man. Took the opportunity to combine it with the 2 DVDs from the old Anchor Bay box that were in a plain jewel case, all into a 3 disc Blu-ray case.

This Island Earth. Purchased for my Dad and he watched it the same day it was delivered (yesterday) and enjoyed.
Advance ordered Alligator UHD (this time for my mother) from Shout direct to get the poster. Also threw in The Core to get past the free shipping threshold. I have a soft spot for The Core and have seen the film at least 4 times (the last time was less than 6 months back).

This one cost mucho dineiro and is easily the priciest BD in my collection:





It's good for having the uncut Hong Kong version (which is great news for completists and fans of un-PC gags), but the Japanese and international cuts are presented with a massive black frame surrounding the film. Also, the source prints for those versions were not cleaned up. The Dimension Films cut is also included, and I suspect it's identical to the one that's on the Legend of the Drunken Master disc.

In terms of languages, the HK cut on disc 1 has the original Cantonese and English dubs as audio options along with multiple subtitle selections including English. I should point out that the menu itself is in English on disc 1 while the one on disc 2 (special features and alternate cuts) is in Japanese. Fortunately, there aren't that many items on the menu of the second disc, so you can figure out what everything is pretty easily by trial and error. The extras include an interview that Chan gives in English with optional Japanese subtitles and an introduction to DMII he does in Cantonese (also with optional Japanese subs).

The set comes in a fairly sturdy slipcase and includes two movie posters, a set of postcards which most likely use photos from lobby cards, and a glossy booklet. The booklet appears to provide background on the film but is entirely in Japanese, so I haven't the foggiest idea what any of the text says. It also contains a gallery of other Jackie Chan home media releases which includes alternate artwork for Drunken Master II that may have been used in other territories.

I think it's safe to say that I overpaid for this BD, especially given the very poor presentation of the international and Japanese cuts of the film. Still, I think the only version of this film I had previously was the Thakral DVD from way back when, so it's nice to finally have it on Blu-Ray.
