Memories of Murder: The Criterion Collection

Tried online but it was out of stock, so when my wife ordered a new smart plug at Best Buy for pickup I volunteered to go in and found a copy of the King Kong special edition with a pristine slipcover so I grabbed that too.

I know not everyone is a fan of these collections, but for budget-minded folks like me who want to upgrade their DVD copies, box sets like this make sense.

The set contains

• Gone in 60 Seconds
• Enemy of the State
• Deja Vu
• Pearl Harbor
• Armageddon
• Con Air
• The Rock

All the discs are encoded as all region with the exception of Deja Vu, which is locked into Region B. That's too bad as it's one of the four titles in the set I've never seen (Gone in 60 Seconds, Crimson Tide, and Pearl Harbor are the other three). I'll catch up with Deja Vu one of these days when I get an all-region player.

Picked up Smokey and the Bandit 4K from Walmart and received The Good, The Bad and the Ugly 4K from Best Buy.

Also, found a good price on the 4K remaster of Godzilla 2014 on eBay and that just arrived today. A marked difference in being able to see the dark scenes in the last act.

I'm struggling to post a photo, but I picked up the Animal House 4K Steelbook. It was on sale at Target for the same price as the regular edition ($19.99). I picked up curbside and they brought out a mint condition copy.

Mothman is total blind buy, but I really like Gere in everything and the extras look great! I have of course heard of and think it wasn’t greatly received...
