I'm glad I picked this up for $5. After 30 minutes of play, I ejected it. It was putting me to sleep. I still need to watch it completely. I hope the action picks up.

I am typically not a fan of movies that take a while to get going. I also do not typically like 3 hour movies. This one I do enjoy though. It is one largely based on true people and history with the usual characters consolidated and some artistic license. I've always been fascinated with Vegas so that helps. Stone was tremendous in it. It was back in the day when De Niro was still an actor and Pesci is his usual self.

I had the HD DVD and am slowly converting over to BR as I place other orders and have RZ to spend. As you said, for $5 I don't mind having this on the shelf but I know it's not something I'll revisit very often. Had it not been 0 out of pocket I may not have bothered.

I think I have Casino in my collection too but I have never bothered to watch it. Maybe one day...

Casino grew on me and now I love it. Not on top of Scorsese’s best, but very good depiction of similar, but different type of gangster/mobster/mafia movie in different area. Very well done and acted. Great cast. Couldn’t ask for more. Time is irrelevant with movies like these, the LotR, other Scorsese movies and certainly Tarantino. Now, Endgame perhaps. As long as movie is great, time is nothing if I’m thoroughly engrossed and want to stay in that world as long as possible...

I found this on my Amazon purchase history. 10/20/16 for $5. Not a fan of Dark Shadows but it was the cheapest way to pick up Sleepy Hollow.
