Oh, btw, last Blu-ray purchase:

The SteelBooks were released a couple of weeks ago at Walmart stores. Most had between 5 and 10 copies of each, and then when you take away the dented copies due to presumed employee negligence, it's more like 3-5 good copies per store.

The bonus disc is the same in each of the four films, which is annoying. Pretty sure it's a preview disc for the upcoming film.

Each of the SteelBooks costs $15, and they're pretty awesome.

Sessa, where did you order Starcrash from? I'm a bit ticked that my Amazon pre-order hasn't shipped yet. I figured with Prime I would have already received it.

If you're a fan of the film (or the genre), I can recommend this Blu-ray release very highly to you.
I ended up finding a copy of this for less than $21 shipped from eBay. Definitely glad to know it has great PQ/AQ. I looked up the Blu-ray.com review - for those curious it had DTS-HD Master Audio, is an MPEG-4 transfer, and does NOT have forced subtitles. It is also the Uncut version of the film. This is an excellent region free release and I'm glad I was able to pick it up.

I'm still a little curious about blu-ray's picture formatting. If it's region free, does that mean it's NTSC ? Or does blu-ray not have NTSC ?

My last blu-ray that I bought ? The X-Men trilogy. The only comic based movies that I can stand.

Hatchet for the new commentary track and Dexter S4 using the fye gift card I've been holding onto since January.

NTSC and PAL does not apply to Blu-ray. It's High Definition and the same quality anywhere. However, bonus materials are usually in PAL if it's an import and are not likely to work in US players.

As for Region Free: It simply means it isn't region enforced and can play on Blu-ray machines anywhere.

There are three four codes: Region A (US and Canada), Region B, Region C, and Region Free.

Just got Ther Great Raid. I love this movie and it looks and sounds great on BD. I never realized Sam Worthington was in this movie.
