Re: The last Blu-ray you bought (Round 3)
When I heard that Universal was releasing "The Ghost and Mr Chicken" on Blu-ray, I was elated. This film is such a gem and solidified my love for Don Knotts when I was a kid. Yes, it's filled with nostalgia, but it is an awfully fun movie to watch. Its release gives me hope that Universal will work to release "The Munsters" on Blu-ray and that Paramount will revisit the idea of releasing more seasons of "The Andy Griffith Show" as well. The other two titles Universal released last week are also terrific additions to anyone's collection. For me, "October Sky" really demonstrated that Jake Gyllenhaal was a gifted young actor. He's taken a lot of risk and has chosen roles that continue to elevate his career. And finally, I've had to fight the desire to sample "It Came From Outer Space," but plan on removing the cellophane tonight. I love 3D, it just makes watching some films so much better. I guess all those folks heralding the death of 3D were a bit premature. I did my rounds at a handful of "Zia Record Exchange" locations here in Phoenix recently and to quote one of the guys working behind the counter, "..as soon as a good 3D title comes in they pretty much sell." Now I gotta run to the market and pick up some stuff for dinner and the popcorn for the movie. By the way, these three are just $7.99 at Best Buy right now.

Had a $5 Best Buy Reward Certificate, decided to get X-Men: Apocalypse (BD+DVD+DHD) while it's $19.99 ($14.99 w/RC) and still has a slipcover...

Re: The last Blu-ray you bought (Round 3)
Yeah, I really enjoyed this film but not enough to drop $30—but that's been my attitude towards most of the TT catalog. I think I've paid full price for just a half dozen or so and in hindsight should have been more patient. As many have pointed out, few of their titles have sold out quickly and this one doesn't strike me as a "must-have" for most collectors. I would likely bite at $20 due to its limited availability but I can live without it if it sells out. At the risk of being repetitive....there's only one title I plan on buying day one and I'm buying two copies—"Moby Dick." It is one of my all time favorite films and I have seen it on television so many times that I am chomping at the bit to see it in HD.
