Big, big week for me. Can't remember the last time I made three purchases at once. But I had a ton of RZ dollars so this cost $6.35 OOP

Re: The last Blu-ray you bought (Round 3)
This is how they got me to buy my first UHD: Package with a Blu-ray disc and pop it into a steelbook. Pre-ordered "Labyrinth" steelbook for pick-up on Tuesday, 9/20. Yesterday I received "Frankenstein Legacy Collection" and "Shakespeare In Love." The latter was $4.99 and achieved my "free shipping" quota from Barnes & Noble." In my humble opinion, "Shakespeare In Love," like "Crash" in 2005, did not, in any way, deserve its "Best Picture" award from the Academy. In 1998, the year "Shakespeare In Love" won, the film that should have received that distinction was "Saving Private Ryan." It's just not even debatable. Harvey Weinstein, head of Miramax, greased the skids to basically buy that award in 1998 for his enjoyable, though overrated, rom com.

OldBoy,
I mean this in the most sincere and friendly way possible, but IMO you really need to take it easy on the BD shopping. I don't want to tell you how to spend your money, but in this month alone, you've purchased 12 new BDs and it seems like you're buying new titles every week. Plus, you've mentioned your blind buying digital titles as well.
I'm genuinely concerned that you've developed an online shopping addiction. Plus, it seems like you're blind buying titles on a whim. Wouldn't you rather put this money away in the bank and save for an awesome vacation during your summer work break to Mexico, Europe or Asia? At least something more productive then thousands of discs filling your closet.
Again, not trying to judge you or tell you how to spend your money, but I see a very disturbing pattern.
My suggestion, take a break for a few months, and if you see something during the Holidays you might like, then knock yourself out. But, I really think you need to stop these weekly binges. Put some money away in the bank.

Maybe Oldboy is the Kardashian brother no one talks about and could afford a frivolous hobby like blu rays?

I don't think he was trying to be offensive by it. Sometimes I'm amazed as well by other's spending habits on here as well. Not necessarily in a good or bad way, just amazed in general. I also understand that it's also a huge hobby for many of us here. But I'm also on the side of being responsible about it, especially if you have a family to take care of. As long as you are not putting yourself in debt or sacrificing the means of yourself and your family, you can still build up a nice collection and be happy about it.

I'm certainly not taking offense, but am a little perturbed why I'm being called out specifically. I mean I would never say anything about someone's spending habits no matter how ludicrous. I don't even think like that on here. But to count how many purchases I made in a specific time frame is insane if u ask me. I certainly don't say anything about people's tv or movie viewing habits. Some of which I am shocked and amazed at how many shows one can watch and binge. I think it sometimes but I would never call them out in an open forum. Do I make purchases that are sometimes silly and random, sure. Don't we all from time to time, but it's always because I have somewhat of an interest and exhausted other, cheaper means and I'm always within my monetary means. I'm just stunned really...

*cough*
Wasn't too sure what was going on with Croupier on Blu-ray, since it's been out-of-stock on Amazon for a while, so I jumped on a copy of it at DeepDiscount while using their current 15% off coupon. Lumped it together with a pre-order for the Highlander remaster ... and a Stay Puft keychain to get the order over $25.
